John Terry... you rat!

well, I've not been overly fussed about this whole business but Ferdinand has always been excellent as a captain for United so that's encouraging.

Tbh i feel sorry for his twin daughters??...soon they will be all grown up only to be told that their father is nothing more than a cheating scumbag who couldnt keep it in his pants...i mean his missus Toni doesnt scrub up too bad...shes a pretty lady if im being honest...but if she takes him back then i wouldnt have much respect for her either...how can you love a cheater??...does not compute.

Fair point - but think of the media attention now magnified while he is playing in the WC - you know its going to be bought up again, and with every other money making scheme he seems to have done recently, is it worth the risk of him flaking out (he hasnt looked great recently and thats only in the EPL not against national teams in the knock outs also)

Its also a matter of whether the team actually trust him, and they will all be hanging around each other for weeks during the WC

Personally think Cahill would be a good shout as a backup for injuries between now and then with Wes Browngetting Terry's spot

I'm confused why it matters that he is a role model? Is some kid going to see this and then in 10-15 years later , get married and then cheat on his wife and use john terry as the reason why he did it?

I found it funny that they say John Terry is going to lose 20m in sponsorship. I doubt that but that would be a very expensive s#@#! lol

Its probably just a morale thing. Maybe John Terry just thought it was one of the perks of the arm band. :D

:D it's part and parcel of being England captain. It's just being responsible to be a model proffessional off the pitch setting a good example. :) showing the kids that in order to be England captain you can't be a ****.
 
Seems like rumours are that the bint at the heart of this has supposedly been paid £800k by Terry to keep her trap shut...shame would have been interesting to hear her side of the story...i guess, if the rumour is true that Terry had a lot to cover up.

Oh well hopefully Rio wont get up to anything naughty whilst being England captain...mind you i wouldnt hold my breath on that one.

This was something I heard yesterday.
 
What gets me is that the papers keep saying how this is going to effect our World Cup chances but who broke the story in the first place?

What form of media keeps releasing new stories about Terry's personal life?

If the media want us to win the World Cup, which I'm starting to doubt, seems they prefer the negative stories, then get back to football!

I don't see how people are blaming the papers, ect ect, it was Terry who did these things and it was Terry who did the damage.

Nope didn't say it was.

But the papers need to move on, if they want our best central defender to play his best for our country then will the continued damming of him help?

The majority of footballers hardly have a high moral code so whilst its not condonable what he did, is it surprising?
