Just bought a SNES

Pfft. Everyone clings to the N64 for three reasons, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark and Mario Kart 64. The list of quality SNES titles is at least ten times as long! Therefore SNES > N64 :p

Of course the ultimate solution is to own both!

I never thought the N64 was that good a console at the time. There were loads of not so good games. Just as the PS1 was releasing loads of really good games with an (at the time) obscene amount of storage (CD) the N64 was limited by a cartridge. There were a few driving games with very little scenery etc. The SNES is a classic. I loved mine.

How is the Wii for downloading and playing older nintendo games? are they expensive?

Some of my best gaming memories are from my SNES games! Secret of Mana and Final fantasy 3 are just pure awesome-sauce!

I'd recommened Unirally if you can track that down.

A game featuring Unicycles, was seriously fast...!

A true classic that most people missed. It probably has aged very well given that it was never about graphics and all about skill!

Can also add Tetris Attack and Super Probotecter(Someone said contra, but I think that was the USA version?)

Aaarrr I just loved Super Metroid. Was by far my favourite game on the SNES if a little frustrating in places. Soundtrack is awesome.

Im now 18% through Donkey Kong Country and its getting really hard. To the part when the rats in the big stone wheels run after you so you have to run through the level to avoid them

edit - ive also managed to beat the computer playing Ryu in hardest mode on street fighter 2 turbo. Took ages but managed it with chun li

If you think that is hard, you wait till you get to some of the later ice levels etc :o
