is it all just desert / old cowboy ranch type buildings in this? like the demo.

better with K/m or a pad?

The desert is only around a 5th of the map and the demo area was only half of the desert area

theres icy mountains and lots of jungle

I use kb/m when on foot and 360 controller for vehicles. You can switch between them seemlessly during play

Eugh, getting annoyed now. When I change my controls on foot so mouse 1 is shoot, mouse 2 is grenade and mouse 3 is aim, it changes my vehicle controls to mouse 2 for both weapons, and vice versa.

You dont need explosives. Just go to the weak part and you will have an option to plant explosive.

I've been pressing e for the last two days and nothing going on , so i decided to reload a save game from earlier in the mission and e now works. Thankyou! , glad i wasn't going crazy

This may help for people seeking better performance and tweaks, you can disable the HBAO which comes with SSAO and there is a framerate cap

oh its quite big then? what oblivion size?

Far far bigger. The island is huge. Anyone know the exact size? Takes ages just to get 1/4 of the way across in a jet.

Havent really formed an opinion on this yet - on the one hand its awesomely fun flying across the island laying waste to things in a chopper and stuff - on the other the constantly respawning enemies (just like GTA) is annoying me.

Also, is it just me or is the sniper rifle utterly redundant? You can pop people at range, but it raises the alert level and you get three times the amount of guards spawn on you.

Still think this game is awesome, some of the lines the AI come out with are genuinely funny.

found an awesome army jet but doesnt seem to take off

but theres a bug there where the you cant walk ontop the run way and you walk on ground under it

That jet takes a while to take off. Just hold down S whilst giving it some throttle and it'll eventually take off about 3/4 the way up a runway.

I love the commentary from the media you get after you complete a faction mission, it's either completely exaggerated or they really try and play it down. It's great.

There's at least one army base which spawns jets you can hijack, however once you've completed the base they stop

They're insane fun to fly!

Just been on a Ski lift in the mountains for what has seemed like AGES - LOL

Cause "chaos" in the mountains, hardly anyone there to stop you.

The sheer scale of this game is impressive.

This game is annoying me, I want to like it because it's super fun, but the camera movement is super sluggish despite my framerate being between 40-60 at all times. It's like I'm dragging my mouse through treacle.

Is there some kind of mouse smoothing going on?
