*** Justice League Thread ***

I'm surprised how different the final fight was. When compared to the Synder cut, Whedon version is so messy and lacked continuity, Victor had his limbs pulled off by Steppenwolf and few moments later he's all fine. Synder cut is also much more serious and most of the humour elements and dialog has been removed/replaced.
I'd say it was put back. It was Whedon that reshot and edited the film. Only using around 25 mins of the Snyder footage. This is how it should have been, had Snyder stayed on to finish it.

If this got a Cinema release originally it would not have been 4+ hours long. The release on Streaming services presented Zac with an opportunity to embellish and add to the story in a way that wouldn't have been possible with a Cinema release which would have likely been at most 2-2 1/2 hours long.

There was also meant to be talk of it releasing as a 2 part movie had he actually been able to make it the way he wanted to. It was Batman vs Superman that got WB to basically demand the movie was 2 hours long and no more as they felt that movie was far too long and dragged on. And it's obvious comparing the 2 movies that Whedon's cut basically removed all the character development and just honed in on the main story thread.

It was know at the tim ehow much Zack was fighting with WB execs about how everything woudl work and tie togther. He wanted JL to be a over arching story that woudl be four films in total with the character movies in between, then he haggled for 2 films, then WB pulled all of that and wanted one film with no character background movie, and wanted in 2.30hrs, which wasn't possible. I reckon he filmed for so much to force their hand to let him have two movies.

Also Junkie did such a better job with the score, Elfman jsut never came close to the same emotion.

So the big question is where do they go from here? Will they consider a sequel to this if the response to this is good and they can get the actors on board? It's crying out for one to say the least.

And the Sequel was meant to be a direct follow on from the end scene where we get turned bad Superman etc.

from what I understand the snyder version was always going to be 4hr long at a bare minimum. now the rumor mill has been turning it wheel's once again and like always with rumors that it might be possible to have sequel to a snyder cut JL, as report coming in the WB maybe do a U-turn on saying that this is the end of snyder version of justice league and greenlight a follow up film or two as what was originally planned, depending on how well this cut of JL does, but like always how true these rumor are, would have to be taken with a grain of salt.

It all depends on how many subs it drives on HBO max in the US and how well it sells on PPV elsewhere. The UK rights are a bit of a funny one as no doubt Sky paid upfront for it but then surprised everyone by putting it on standard Sky Cinema instead of PPV.

Think this proves the mishandling of the DC universe by WB. Lots of happy fans this weekend.

Imagine the difference if Syder got his multiple film deals.

Disliked Cyborg at the start but after getting fleshed out he became a wonderful character and was central to the plot.

How good was Wonder Woman?

Also loved the tea scene lol

Watched it last night, i agree with pretty much everyone that it was a massive improvement on the previous version!! There was actual character development and less random cheesiness in it.
