Kebabs - North/South Difference?

basicly mate :) go to Berlin in Deutschland, by a Kebab there from a PROPER Turkish guy, and you think all english kebab tast like dog meat.

They are made in Naan Bread, with salad and sause :| english kebabs are just pure vile.

I didn't really like German Doner Kebabs when I lived there, prefer the UK ones but I don't eat them because they are so bad for you. You do get PROPER Turkish people in the UK as well you know.

I've lived in Cambridge, London, Sheffield and Nottingham, and I've sampled plenty of kebabs in each city. Mostly drunk, but sometimes sober.

I can't say that I've found kebabs up north to be better - if anything they're a bit nastier (more of the greasy 'plastic' donner meat, and less of the real meat). They do tend to be cheaper though, so meh.

Total rubbish.

I used to live I yorkshire and I see no difference.

There are good and bad places everywhere - and so few decent kebab houses anyway.

My brother in law took me to some place in London to grab something to eat for lunch, it was filled with Islamic/Arabic people, so some of you lot would probably steer well clear of it, but what i ate was simply the best kebab thing I've ever tasted.

I'll fire him a text and ask where it was.

I've found kebabs most places down south are better than up north but in london i've yet to have a nice kebab.

Worst kebab i've had was from birmingham, the grease pool in the bottom of the tray covered the pitta bread. The sauces were all watered down. It was just dire.
