Kebabs - North/South Difference?

Then you have no tastebuds.

I can handle people claiming no difference between kebabs. There is no doubt in the slightest that the best fish and chips comes from the North. Specifically the North East coast.

Now this is true. The south simply don't grasp the glory of gravy on chips. :)

Pirate, That kebab meat is just toooo posh man, I want it like a women; Filthy, dirty and nasty and leaves me begging for more and never know if you might catch something off of it!hahaha, thats a proper kebab.

Best fish and chips is just at the seaside. Can't say I've noticed a difference between North/Sound in that respect.

The North is just more consistent with its quality for Fish and Chips. The South does have some very good places, just more chaff to go along with it too.

Abduls in Manchester: Donner with no salad, mint sauce, mango sauce, chilli sauce and 5 or 6 whole green chillies on top = Unbeatable.

The kebabs I had in London all came in crappy pita's too. A kebab is not a kebab unless served on a naan the size of a rug!

I had a kebab once in Turkey and I can testify it was everything I thought it was going to be.

That is to say, it was EVERYTHING.

Also, anyone that has mayonnaise on a kebab needs shooting. Either some minted yoghurt or some proper chilli sauce is all you need.

shoot yourself, garlic mayo + chilli sauce + mint sauce.
Unless you have a proper turkey kebbab in a restaurant. then mint yoghurt.
Also it's available in a lot of places if you ask.
