Keeping up with the Markles

Found one of them

Thats just the DM. Thats not proof of anything other than the DM being the DM. I have regularly seen 2 stories about the same thing right next to each other with complete different tones, context and outrage. If you are topic de jour they will link you with whatever they can to sell papers.

I saw plenty of stories from the DM about how she had "bagged herself a prince" and how she did it etc.

How about looking at Carrie Symonds. The DM is always running negative stories about her and what she is doing.

The DM is just a **** rag that jumps on whatever they can and will quite happily change their tune from one minute to the next. Markle was never as well liked as Kate Middleton but she also didn't take to royal life like Kate did. People didn't dislike her, they just didn't take to her like Kate. Kate just goes about her royal duty and keeps herself to herself. Harry and Meghan love to preach to people about how they should behave and what they should think. Its pretty easy to see why one is well liked and people think the other two are pillocks.

The royals have always been apart from the rest of society and largely keep their oar out of political topics and divisive issues. People only see them when there is news about them or they are doing something as part of their royal duty.

When you break that barrier its unsurprising that you will have people feel strongly one way or another about you. Some will like them more and others will dislike them more.

lol what? The incident was almost as complained about as Jade Goody's comment on Big Brother and she was a pariah after that. You can't rack up that many complaints without expecting some serious professional repercussions. He's been adept at skirting the line between controversy and offence for years and has finally been hoist by his own petard.

Frankly his mock outrage and talking over interviewees is pantomime and anybody taking it as serious journalism needs to see a doctor for their serious brain injury.

TBH it just shows the type of audience it draws. People who only want to hear one side of an argument. Without him on it, it's just going to be the woke echo chamber show.

Proof that wokeism and PC groupthink has finally won out over rational thought and debate. What a state this country is in.

Cue all the leftie anti-DM - pro Grauniad, anti Brexit codswallop to follow.

He was presented with an argument and he chose to walk off his own show instead of debate, quite the opposite of what you're stating.

The only sad thing about it is the fact so many people in this country genuinely believe people like Morgan are being silenced, despite them constantly being given a platform to say what they want.

Going back and reading the transcripts of the Squidgygate tapes I don't know what to think.

It seems very tough to marry into the Royal Family, but on the other hand Meghan has a terrible personal history. I think that whole thing is just a total mess.

I seriously doubt people wanting a 'woke echo chamber show' to watch are deliberately tuning in every morning to watch Piers Morgan go off on one of his budget Clarkson rants.

Exactly; so many people blinded by their misguided view that the man should be able to say whatever he likes about whomever he likes and have conveniently ignored the fact he embarrassed himself and the entire crew by storming off the job in a sulk live on air. The very definition of unprofessional and a sacking offence in its own right.

I don't think this is where people are being silenced at all. I think its happening at a much less public level than this. In our universities and in our government and private companies.

There will always be left wing and right wing media outlets and there will always be those that mainly just deal in outrage on both sides. It worries me more when people are being shut down in institutions that are seemingly non political or which shouldn't take sides. Places like universities and the BBC are 2 that should very much come under this umbrella.

But isn't the entire premise of free speech being able to do just that, say what ever you want, about anything/anyone you want?

Except we don't have free speech in the UK anymore, haven't for a long time, far too many words have consequences now, back when I was in school it was "sticks and stones may break your bones, but words will never hurt me", and they won't you can say what ever you want to me, it'll either be ignored or forgotten about, just accept you may get equal back and that there is where the issue lies. If I retaliate with words that aren't PC friendly I am then at fault.

This thread is amazing as you cant say anything bad or criticise Megan and Harry as you dont know them etc but then make wild accusations of other posters in this thread. :D

Ramblings about the gutter press but more then happy to cheer them on when its against people they dont like or disagree with politically.
