Kerbal Space Program

Holy Bat Man, those images are big...
May I ask what Aspect Ratio an Resolution the originals where at?

PS: Welcome to the community, an Happy Launchings. :)

Thanks! I'm currently sending a probe to duna to find out more info, loving the game.

Oops, didn't realise the size of them! They are at original size, 1080p so 16:9. I've spoiler tagged them.

So close, its now so much more stable, but unmovable, but rcs doesn't seem to do much.
But I will get it with this configuration, I just forgot to quick save. lost control in the last 500 feet.

Going to take a break now, cant believe I didn't quicksave.
unfortunately landing pilot cant control this monster.

cant you build that in space instead of launching it as one?

I could do, but docking connectors are very week, also I no longer have an issue getting it to the mun, just landing, which would be equally hard with building in space.
I've had a few hours sleep, so I'm now trying again.

What I really want is a plugin that tells me rotation rate for sas/gimbal in VAB, just like you get with mechjeb and delta v. That way you could see just how movable it is.

YES YES YES. I think that's by far the hardest thing I've succeeded on in KSP.
however I am 1/4 of the planet away from everything else.

close call on the fuel.

right how the hell do I work out which direction I need to drive in.

I need to add some solar panel modules, but I suppose I should make a kethane module and rover and a mun fuel space station. for missions to deep space. some communication satellites would look good as well.

That's an absolute monster!

I've never tried the Kethane mod, is it difficult to mine it and convert it to fuel?

:) I like my constructor.

I have now mapped the mun.

Next up is to install the new winch mod and try fuel transfer and docking in orbit.
Then I can start kethane.

Kethane mining is pretty easy, its transferring it from one vehicle to another that is harder, hence I like the look of the winch mod.

I installed it last night to try to get the hang of it. It seems decent, but am I right in saying that the detector will only ever reveal one pixel on the map per second regardless of the height? I put my first sattelite into 900Km orbit hoping it'd do a wide-reveal at higher altitudes like the ISA map does but it wouldn't, so I moved it down to a much lower orbit just to get it around faster.

I'm going to try a proper mining attempt tonight: a refinery mothership in orbit and a miner tug shuttling Kethane up and down from the Mun.

Just decided to buy this, not that it didn't seem to offer value enough already but if bought before the end of the month then all future expansions will be free.

So for those sitting on the fence about buying it then note that the above deal ends in a few days.

Welcome bravo new Kerbalnaught.
Please feel free to ask any questions for tips an advice.
Also we love pictures in this thread; They speak a thousand words, be it off you designs, failures or discoveries.. we'll welcome them all...

Happy Launching.

wheres the cheapest place for this? steam? £18 seems a little steep or am I missing something here.

Hello Neo.

Steam £18
KSP Store €23 (£15~) Convertable to Steam Purchase.

So buying from the Squad Store is the cheapest, factoring for poor exchange via PayPal.
If there is any thing else please ask.

@ Seanoog - thanks for the Kerbalnaught welcome :D

My kerbals might be grounded for a little while as my despot leader of the Caribbean island of Tropico is a very demanding man, at the moment. :)

FWIW - I bought it from the KSP store as I assume that their team will benefit more that way.?

I was going to hope it came up in a steam sale since i already have too many games... but tbh that makes it a no brainer for me now! Bought :)

dropping my Fuel Dump core into orbit.

and safe parachute deployment of the tug

if its one thing I hate its space debris

now need to attach lots of modules. before slinging it out to the mun.

anyone know any mods, that will let you select a target from a list.

Been back on this game for a while, determined to do some docking. Got my lander/return ship into 100k orbit around kerbin and got an interplanetary stage up there too at a higher orbit but the inclination is good, so all set for some docking once I've worked out how to do it.

Once that's done it's out into orbit around Jool and to explore the Joolian system. Got out there before easily enough but not enough fuel left to land or return.

I like running the game at stock settings and fiddling about with everything.
