Here's an idea, why not just let him spend his money, realise he's bought the wrong kit and then just laugh at his "Spend 1k on a kick ass PC and CPU cooler won't fit" ?

Then wait for someone to say "I told you so"

This may be the making of a new ZZZAC ladies and gents. :p

In all seriousness, we all had to start somewhere and the best way to do that is to listen to experienced people.

it is 20 quid cheaper = about 10 pints

What're you drinking... water? I need to move to your town.

On topic: I've never built a system, complete novice if you will, but i lol'd.
Try not to let this child smear your view of us newbies on the forum.

EDIT: In fairness i must point out his constant mutterings about kick ass is clearly a subjective view point, my friend just bought a £450 system, it runs wow at top so he's completely happy with it, he'd clarify it as high end, obviously when you come to a computer enthusiasts website you can't claim to be top of the line unless you're paying substantially more than general users.
Even so his blatant ignorance hasn't left me with any sympathy, even taking into account the above.

I said that already Vinni3!! :p

Damn it, skim reading doesn't help. :p

Just reaffirming what could be true though! :D

EDIT: Check out his website in his profile (http://www.me888.co.uk/) - it's pretty bad.

And rule of thumb, do complete your address when filling out your domain registry info, and remember that NOMINET allow you to opt-out of putting your address in the WHOIS records as a non-trading individual. ;)

.... I feel bad for being mean after seeing that....

After watching your video on how you are making £10,000,000 or dollars (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCrLqyxLRcU), I can't help but think you may want to stretch your budget to include some nice coloured and braiding cables from OCUK's great BitFenix Alchemy range.

You could order a different colour for every cable to create a rainbow effect, that would be very naturalist of you.

Holy damn....

i really hope he's trolling.

Well this explains a lot

We live in a stranggeee world.....

Okay from what i read.

the system you have specced is a nice lower high end spec, not kick ass unless you take your res into consideration.

OP, What do you want to do with it, are you overclocking? If no you don't even need a "K" there are some differences between the normal i5 2500 and the k aside from the IGP.
Also don't get a big cooler, if your not overclocking its a big waste and a pain to fit no dealt I struggled to fit a titan ( lol) plus you will need new brackets for it( for the one you specced at least.) So another saving.

the blu ray drive, erm okay are you using it to burn/play blu ray if no get a normal one...save yourself oh 50 odd pounds. I made that mistake lucky for me it was only 50 (:p) Or get a blu ray rom which are quite a bit cheaper.

The SSD while its a good SSD of course, you could upgrade later and put it towards a new screen :) and let that 570 stretch its legs a little bit :)

Pretty much this the spec is overkill if your not wanting to buy a new screen than don't put 1k into this machine cos you do not need to.

listen to these guys, I know they can rip people apart, but that is because some do NOT help themselves. However we can not stop you its your money. We can only advise if you let us.

This is exactly the problem to be fair, seems intent on judging how good a component is by its price rather than how practical it is for the budget.

I tried, got laughed at by the OP so I give up, IMO 2500K, UD3, 448 core with a K2 is much better value but also slight better performance for £150 less - go figure thats laughable.

Even a 448 is slight overkill at the res, but yeah its a good soild gaming spec and quite expandable, which is the key really.
