Kyle Rittenhouse - teen who shot three people in Kenosha

As I said it is clear he got off on technicalities but its done. You all know it and everyone else knows it.

'Technicality'

You never cease to amaze what with your ability to beclown yourself so regularly here.

The self defence case was clear, from the video footage, to anyone with even a casual understanding of the sort of common law that US criminal legislature is based on.

The gun charge was a misdemeanour offence and was discharged by the judge as the gun clearly did not meet the criteria set out in the state law and so the charge should never have been taken to court in the first place by the prosecution.

A judge dismissing a charge laid at court incompetently by the prosecution is not getting of 'on a technicality'

Thread is just going over old ground now.

It was revived because some of us think Rittenhouse putting his name to a shooting game for money, is distasteful.
Yeah it is bad taste, but so what? The guy had to put up with all sorts of slander and lies from the MSM, democratic party politicians and other left leaning figures so more power to him as far as I'm concerned.

Its like a circle with you lot it really is.
Tell me about it:

You'd think the better more sensible thing to do would be to use the donation money to start a foundation

I don't think sensible people run around playing cops and robbers with real guns.

Sensible people expected the cops to prevent a mob of vandals from trying the burn the place down.

Didn't they have insurance?

The insurance company pays out on what was listed on the policy and what you can prove was on the premises.

Is that not what it's for?

Well yes, that's what it is for ergo having your business burn down is still a big loss and something the business owner wanted to prevent.

Understood. What would the sensible option be then? Wait for high noon?

Have the local police do their job.

Pretty crass to make a shooting game IMO.

But you know the US and it’s love for guns… unless you spend time in states that normalise guns you would naturally think it’s crazy to have guns as part of everyday life, it still makes me feel a bit out of sorts when out with guys from our US office who all seem to ‘carry’.. they swear blind it’s not for self defence, it’s in case the government get out of control, and those are staunch dems, they hate Trump..
