Kyle Rittenhouse - teen who shot three people in Kenosha

A picture from the sad series of events that imo encompasses this thread.

A literal dumpster fire

The good news is that tomorrow is a full moon. I can only anticipate what the posting will be like.

Jury breaking for the night, with question if they can take the jury instructions home.

If I were to read into that, I'm guessing theyre stuck on a "technical aspect" of the instructions which may conflict with what they have found as to guilt.

Could be in relation to the jump kick guy or Huber. Incidentally, there is a possible ID for jump kick guy (that the prosecution may have already been aware of pre-trial) and sure enough, it's (yet another) person with a criminal past.

Alternatively could be some are just being stubborn/not budging nor giving much reasoning etc.. as can be seen on social media or even in this thread some people won't be very rational re: this case at all.

One thing that could cause even more outcry is this possibility of a mistrial - like supposing the jury compromises and does eventually come back with one or more guilty verdicts, there is a plausible chance the judge then rules on the mistrial request from the defence... US news media then goes nuts.

So will it be....

guilty = NRA loose on the streets for a few nights probable civil war scenario.

Innocent = America set on fire for a few more days because of white supremacist? Trump lover? #blm likes to destroy property + open carry mainstream murder.

I think Kyle will be doing some time... Only to appease the media and keep the lesser of the 2 morons off the streets.

The death toll from this event is far from over.

At least continue running for starters. He ran for what, 10 meters? Then just seemed to give up, turn around and kill him. The instructions specifically say "There is no duty to retreat. However in determining whether the defendant reasonably believed the amount of force used was necessary to prevent or terminate interference, you may consider whether the defendant had the opportunity to retreat with safety, whether such retreat was feasible, and whether the defendant knew of the opportunity to retreat". One could could quite easily argue (and the prosecution did), that he still had ample opportunity to keep running/retreating.

The lunge/leap from Rosenbaum after Kyle turned and aimed his rifle at him seconds before shooting him dead could have been for a number of reasons. Quite likely he could have been trying to get out of the way/push the barrel away so he didn't get shot.

With respect thats nonsense.

You don't run and catch up with someone your trying to get out of the way from. Clear from the video Rosenbaum was catching him. No way Rittenhouse was getting away running.

All you can say is that he shot him, not that he shot to kill. In fact 3 of the wounds were non lethal. It's was the last shot which killed him and that's just entirely random.

What you're basically implying is the onus is the person retreating to retreat harder not the person attacking to not attack. Ignoring the insanity of that, the law is phrased to support the person defending and retreating.

This shooting wasn't what kicked this off. It's was the shooting a few days earlier, and riot's that followed.

I have no idea what will happen. I wouldn't be surprised at any possible outcome. It's a political football now.

With a ridiculous 36 pages of instructions for such a simple case there is no doubt it is causing issue.

More media distortion of the case and riling people up.

I mean it's getting silly now, regardless of the outcome the main media talking points have been blown out of the water already.

There is more controversy than necessary over this trial as a result of media manipulation just as the original riots that resulted in these shootings were, in turn, the result of a police shooting that was subject to media manipulation. Some people still believe that the guy shot (Jacob Blake) is now dead when he's not and have no idea he was a sex offender turning up at his victim/ex's house armed with a knife nor that he was tasered twice before they ended up shooting him. Same sort of thing with stuff like this "State Lines" nonsense and claims of his mum dropping him off with his AR15 etc..

Guy was a vigilante. Proper Charles Bronson nut. He should do some form of time in that it led to two people being killed.

The law is rarely "simple", and this is not a simple case, it's not like he was sat in his house when someone started breaking down the door, although it turned out that wasn't a simple case as the police then tried to prosecute the homeowner, after killing hisiGF when he did what the Law said he could do and fired at the unidentified people trying to break in.

He multiple times didn't kill people when he could have - no Charles Bronson nut. More likely a foolish kid who should have stayed at home.

Where exactly is this safe retreat?

Lets not pretend that Rosenbaum is the only potential threat to Rittenhouse - as he runs towards those parked cars there are other people there, loosely part of the same crowd as Rosenbaum, who could have intercepted him if they were so inclined [allowing Rosenbaum to catch up even if those other people themselves weren't a direct threat], shortly before the first shooting a gunshot was fired from the direction Rittenhouse and Rosenbaum were running from, more people were running towards Rittenhouse along the same direction they'd come from and to the opposite side more people connected to the protestors were walking down the road:

He drove armed with guns to an area to patrol it and to secure it from potential rioters. NOTE! That is the job of the police. Regardless of his legitimate ownership of weapons he put himself in an area and proceeded to act like police. He was a vigilante. He put himself into an area and engaged in conflict with it.

MILES!!!!! From his home. And he was not a cop!!

You know multiple times the IRA planted bombs but did not set them off. So multiple times the IRA could have killed people but chose not to.
Saints they are!!!

I cannot get over this he multiple times did not kill people.

I have lived a life of frustration at not being able to kill people due to legislations and it not being so easy but believe me if I could oooooo I would for sure!!!

Like it is a commendation in 2021 to not kill people multiple times.
Like a certificate.

Sorry that has tickled me too much :cry:

I assumed you were talking about the other Bronson with the nut comment but still.

You were talking about him like he was out of control.

It's interesting how there is a slow trickle of people who have no idea what they are talking about slowly entering this thread.

It's like you can see the media's brainwashing of the less intelligent members of society happening in real time.

No. I assume Kyle? He got his weapons, in his car and drove to the area.

Like any sane person does....
