L4D2 boycott???

unless anyone knows the coding for the AI director, i dont see how they can comment on what can/cant just be added in as DLC.
plus the level design itself is different in the new one.

i'll buy it if my friends do again, got bored of people (who are probably in that group) trying to take a zombie game super serious.

miss the days when the game was fun and not a pro sport.

Lol. Have Valve now become 'cool to hate' like Linkin Park and BMW drivers?

I can see there point, L4D2 does appear to be nothing more than a mod of the original, yet is being released stand alone.

But then Im not really bothered. I tried repeatedly to get into L4D but it just never grabbed me. Plus, im still burnt from paying £27 for a single game when Id spent £25 on the Orange Box and got 3 of the best games ever made. I wont be buying L4D2 untill/unless it ends up on a 70% weekender for a fiver or something.

I was originally concerned that this new game will split the community, but to Boycott the game? Pathetic. It will be interesting to see how many people in that group will suddenly be In-Game on Nov 17th

In the meantime, I'll be playing Episode 3 with Gabe.

Lyon and Steve, only members :D

"We are committed to boycotting Valves next instalment in the Half-Life 2 series. Unless it comes out, then we will buy it."

I have to agree with them. I mean, releasing L4D2 is a bit like releasing an OS which is basically the same as the previous one with just a couple of tweaks to the GUI and general tarting up. Who would do that?

to be honest im more looking forward to Dead Rising 2 release for PC ... SP i know but Capcom release top notch PC versions of their console games.

having Left 4 Dead already, unless L4D2 has features that make it a must buy its not a top priority .

Hummm... thats interesting I was gutted they never released the original on PC.

I'll be pre-ordering. I think I've spoken to a few people on here about organising a 4 pack purchase group. :)

Also, when L4D2 is out I'll be looking through some of the members of the L4D2 boycott group and seeing how many own the new game :p

heh

assuming they do the 4 pack things, we'll have to organise a big thread for it

Sounds like a plan, hopefully they will do something similar this time around.

Idiots - at least they have the choice to boycott L4D2 - I've got no choice!!!!!

/bitter aussie gamer!!!

I think I may hold out for a steam weekend deal.

Some of me is a bit bitter having just paid top dollar for the game only months ago, but then I've got my moneys worth out of it just in single player, still waiting to get in to a decent multi-player game.

Full price I'll probably pass on as it does kind of feel a little bit like an update or an expac rather than a new game. Guess it really depends on how many in my friends list grab it on release.. I might have to buckle to peer pressure for fear of missing the boat again.
