Laser eye treatment - who's done it?

cool how long did it take from first apointment to treatment for you guys whove used LVC?

Mine was 6 weeks, but I guess it's all down to how busy they are or if there's a cancellation. My initial appointment was about a week or two after I called up.

£4800 in total. Worth every penny :)

Has anyone read up on the syringed IOP that has been recently developed? (By recently developed, i of course mean prior/ongoing assessment or whomever in the states test medical treatments.)

Converge did you consider anyone else? I work right next to an Optical Express...

Nope, I didn't like the idea of going to a chain that offers discounts and stuff for surgery. Didn't sit right with me, so did a bit of research and LVC was who came up time and time again as a good place to go.

Philip Schofield went there, what more do you want!??! :D ;)

Yeah I'm kinda leaning that way too. I'm struggling to find the time to research much though. I'd love some independent links singing their praises etc if possible!

Didn't help that my girlfriend is very much of the opinion 'what if you're blinded'!

I cant remember the exact numbers they gave, but to "Go blind" was something like a 1 in 100 million chance.

then a follow up on 17th july.

So if I wanted LES and am poor with no job what can someone like me do? Is there a option of paying it over 10 years or somit interest free?

At LVC? Sounds good. I'm still yet to call them but was slightly worried whether or not they'd be so rammed for summer I wouldn't get in until gone Sep etc.

My aim is to have it done before a stag do in Sep but I still haven't called them :(

Cool. Are they always in a row like that? IE do I have to take 3 days off work? I don't think my girlfriend would be happy to have to do that either.. I presume you need someone to take you home afterwards :p (To be honest I'd quite like a second opinion during the assessment/consultation)
