Laurence Fox

why? When the guy's talking sense, there's nothing wrong with agreeing with that. When he's being a absolute pratt, there's nothing wrong with thinking that. Id rather be somebody who recognised even a lunatic can talk sense sometimes, than be somebody embarrassed because they once agreed with a guy who quite clearly has fallen off a bit of a cliff as of late.

The world isnt black and white.

Yeah, this. I agree with most things he says, but I don't get the badge tweet really. That's fine with me :p

Did I say I'd be embarrassed if I'd agreed with him on anything?

This.

I swear there's people out there that would argue the toss if they found out Hitler once stated water was wet.
I didn't suggest he'd never been right about anything. Though I realise I'm talking to a big fan of his...
I'm a huge fan,
So perhaps you're a bit sensitive, especially as someone who agrees and supports him with most things he says...
I support him in pretty much everything he says
And who thinks his views are just plain and ordinary....
When you listen to him, whether you agree or not I would say he's pretty damn mild in his views.

I do wonder how abusing the mask system we all partake in to help prevent others in society from getting a potentially deadly illness fits in with that profile of him, but you do you.

I never said you did, I wasn't responding to you.

You also need to note the dates of the things you're quoting, for you to go back that far is impressive. It's borderline dishonest on your behalf, for someone with the stance you seem to be taking it's a little odd.

Congratulations on combing the thread for months old statements in an attempt to discredit me though, I'm sure your parents would be proud.

so basically he has no medical reason for it and is just being obtuse ?

Essentially yeah - he's claiming mental health/anxiety which is a total cop-out. If someone is so anxious they can't even wear a mask for a bit in the shops then they should stay at home and order online.

Mask exemptions are mostly BS anyway - basic masks don't reduce oxygen etc... asthmatics etc.. can wear them.

You were agreeing with the guys taking a counter argument to my post: it was all part of that conversation. If you follow it back, I suggested people should be embarrassed for heralding Fox as some great thinker.

I had read the first page of the thread (where all of those quotes come from) and saw loads of posts of yours... basically heralding Fox as some great thinker, so was delighted you joined in the conversation today :D

I didnt suggest you said that, because you didnt say that; you said You'd be embarrassed if you were 'one of those' who thought he was a voice of reason. And i asked you why, since, you know, people can change and so can opinions so.....what are you not understanding?

You asked me 'why can't you agree when you agree, and disagree when you disagree?'

Here:

But I was taking issue with people who were somewhat deifying the guy, not people who just agree with some stuff.

Nothing wrong with changing your opinion of somebody if they start saying things on social media that you happen to strongly disagree with. This idea that you should be embarrassed for once respecting the guy..garbage. It's not our fault if Fox decided to go be a colossal phallus face.

Ah. Guilty by association, makes sense.

I skimmed the past couple of pages and agreed with something another person said, nothing more or less. You however mined the thread, my comments are spread out over several pages, you clearly seem to be intent to hold a persons statements retroactively and in every other possible sense.

Honestly, I actually feel a little bit sorry for you buddy.

All your comments quoted were from page one. I only read that page, and did so before making my first post today. And that first post, about being embarrassed, was literally aimed at you and one or two other posters that I saw on that first page.

So it was quite fun, and very little effort, to then quote the bits I was thinking of when I'd written that post, when you arrived in the thread :)

I would hope, as I said earlier, that it might be a learning experience regarding right wing controversy-miners. They're always terrible.

Giving you what you're worth my man:

I'm off to watch Blade Runner the Final Cut 4K, do enjoy your evening.

I used to like the guy, having watched a couple of things that had him in. I even remember his interview on Radio 1 when he was looking to be a musician full time and stop acting, but it seemed overnight that he turned into this. Too anxious to wear a mask?! His tweet has multiple responses that are pictures of him wearing masks out of choice in the past. If you could do it then, you can do it now. Unless the next tweet is his claiming PTSD from some freak incident involving a mask...
