Behave. So you're now saying that unless you make negative comments about system you own you're opinion isn't valid? That you're a 'fanboy'? That you then have an 'attitude' as a PS3 owner because a very good, very original looking exclusive is coming to the system?
When you've been around longer than 5 minutes you'd understand what I mean. What Abooie said about the PS3 fan base getting ridiculous about every exclusive is actually true, they do and it's quite amusing. Heck, even Lair was gonna be the best thing ever even when it looked rubbish, only the reviews pre-launch stopped a lot of them splurging on it.
360 owners do exactly the same thing and there's nothing wrong with that either.
I never said they didn't, however it's not every game, in fact, the mega-hype is only generally reserved for the really big releases (Bioshock, Halo and Gears of War for example).
What is wrong is when people, like yourself, seem to think people have attitudes or are fanboys just because they like to talk up their system/games a little bit. It when you/others highlight people doing that causes arguments on the forums and often takes threads of target.
I think it's quite clear who are fanboys in here, but even those split into two catagories, the good as the bad. msmalls, Nanoman and Inoshishi are fanboys, but equally, have good opinions and don't get carried away. I won't name the bad ones, but it is obvious.
That's twice in 24 hours now you've brought something back up against me, both times massively uninformed (hence why TheStig1
was suspended) and again here.
I think the PS3 owners are in 'hope' it's the best thing ever. As for hype, let's not forget the same for many 360 exclusives, Halo 3 being a prime example and a huge let down.
The difference is, that was Halo. It was always going to be over-hyped, much in the same way GT5p had the same thing and Zelda Twilight Princess on the Wii. Those games are monsters so are gonna be ridiculous in terms of hype.
I do agree that it's in hope, but the way it's often worded - like in the opening post of this thread (and several other posts) is that it
will be that good, not that it
might be, and that's what seems to happen with alarming regularity.
