Teleport is a new trend that the metagame is beginning to shift towards, and I can see possibly taking this on him. It's a pretty nice spell for your solo top to have (which is the only way I could see you taking it on him, if you are duo laning then you are going to near everything anyway and if your not then your doing something wrong).

The thing is, teleport implies that by taking it you expect to be in the wrong places at the wrong time. You don't need teleport to be in the right places, map awareness and keeping an eye on how the game is progressing does that job for you. Therefore its only usefulness is as a counter to the other team running teleport, including inbuilts like TF.

Otherwise, the only strategies that would require it are speed orientated, tricksie, lure and slaughter etc, all of which certainly dont exist in solo and only exist in high level premades

Have to disagree with this. Teleport allows you to be farming one end of the map or pushing back a tower and being able to get back to your team mates if anything kicks off.

It also allows you to get over to a tower quickly in an all missing situation where the enemy suddenly appear. Its just not possible OR optimal (i.e. there's times when you aren't gaining XP or gold because you're stuck to your team by the hip) to be in the "right place at the right time".

You see this in HoN as well, carrying a teleport stone is extremely important for saving towers against a sudden push & preventing ganks. And in LoL since you can TP onto creeps you can even use it to help setup or support ganks of your own.

IMO TP is valid in every game.

Agreed, I'll only not take when I'm playing TF/Panth. Players forget you can TP to Wards/Mushrooms around the map at the end game to backdoor to finish a game off ;)

Plus you can always make your own team rage by porting to a lane with a huge wave to steal the farm :D:D

My favourite tro lo lo use for teleport is to push a lane hard and really far forward when all of the opposing team are visible (say fighting in mid). Then, once they branch off thinking you are an easy kill for pushing too far, teleport to the other lane and push that hard too knowing that it's going to be a while before they can reach the other side of the map.

I love TP personally and will only never take it when there are at least two other people on my team with it already in which case I've been taking clarity on Lux.

I'm having trouble connecting to mumble, keeps telling me my username is invalid. Any ideas why?

Edit: Tried with a variant of my name and it let me on, how odd.

Clarity is a bad on any champion. If you need mana you should think about mana regen runes cause when you go past level10 you will not have mana problems on lux. You are far better with flash/teleport. Her ulti makes her one the best finishers in the game.

Its because you must have that name registered on a different machine - mumbles security for banning etc ..... I think. Be good to link up with you again

I wouldn't say that. I was using it with great effect in last nights games. Lux is my main and I like to think I have a good grasp with her. I never feel as though flash is necessary on her due to snares and the shield. Like I said, I usually go with teleport and ghost but don't see the point when two other team members have taken it.

Haven't changed machines or anything so not sure what's going on. Got on earlier as Deiwos and won't bother logging off just in case.

Hopefully going to be online a bunch over the next few days. Unemployed+pending interviews leaves me with lots of free time :P

Yeah it's a problem with the EU servers, there's news regarding all this on the LoL website.

Played Malzahar during free week and loved him. Played about 30/40 games and only went negative once on the first time I played him. Averaging 16 kills a game with about 3 deaths. :D Love him so much that I saved up 6300 ip and then bought him and a skin. :)

Yeah, hes good. I'm going to be buying him too. I love his lane ability for controlling the minion push. You can push fast if need be and then slow right down, controlling the flow of the lane.

Yeah he's a great solo champ. Haven't really tried bot/top laning with him yet as I feel putting him in anything other than a solo lane is a sin. I also managed to fill up my match history with Malzahar victories, so 12? games straight without a loss or a negative score. :D

He's also a great anti-trynd player. As soon as he hits his ulti, a quick ignite+E combo means he either runs off and dies, or stays in the fight and dies. :)

IMO, TP is Valid all of the time on every hero, if you don't see the value of being able to quickly teleport around the map at short notice, you're a bad player in my opinion, you may start running down your lane because you see a push coming, you think your in the right place, but then they all back off, and suddenly there are 2 players on the far lane pushing that tower, you can TP over to help that lane. I really cannot see how you cannot value TP...

Because, to reiterate, if you have any sense of map awareness at all, you can predict these things without the need for tp. If 2 enemy players are suddenly pushing on your undefended tower, that is already a team fail. TP just lets you cover up a mistake you have already made. If you don't make the mistake, you will never get caught out.

It is not hard to visually scan the mini map to see who is miss, and where your team mates are, what the threat is (If your visible to the enemy, the enemy will be drawn to you). From this information, 9 times out of 10 you can predict with absolute certainty where the action will be, and where is safe to farm.

Teleport is fun when you have a rammus with ghost roll into the brush to place a ward then have your entire team TP to it for an early gank. Funny as hell when 5 of us just leaped from the bush onto poor Kass and Teemo. :D

As an actual summoner spell I never use it. I simply have Ghost for better mobility. As said, usually you can predict what's going to happen and get there. Even better with ghost if you have a taunt champ as you can just appear then taunt them under the turret. With teleport you get the massive gold rings as a warning, thus losing the element of surprise.

Always fun when the arrow follows in Sync to the teleport :) tbh it's a spell - it adds power to what players can do like any spells. That you maybe able to form the odd gank is probable but it still is a very useful spell - particularly if you are against a TF/Yi/Panteon intent on back dooring.

Hate Malzahar with a passion, i have yet to see any reason why he not considered totally imba in any and all 1v1 situations... aoe and ult = dead opponent with zero risk or effort.. add to that a silence and a dot and he is a very well rounded killer with no real weaknesses.

Have also stopped playing trynd now as i continue to rank up (about 2 games away from lvl20) more and more people know to get him to use his ult and then just put exhaust or ignite on him, exhaust he is useless and dies, ignite he dies the instant his ult wears off

Considered taking cleanse but it doesn't remove the dot from either of these other abilities does it?

malz is a very strong solo champion because his role is to completely shut 1 person down which makes him a beast in lane. his weakness is he has no escapes and also is very vulnerable when outside of a 1v1 situation. his ulti can be stopped by any stun/knockback but with you being level 20, your team mates may not realise this or see the importance of doing so.

no matter what people say about trynd, he is a weak champion outside of pub stomping at low levels. so incredibly easy to shut down and ineffective till so late in the game.

cleanse does not remove either of those summoner spells either, it used to remove exhaust a few patches back but it doesnt anymore.. im not sure if thats working as intended. i believe an item called quick silversash removes both but im not totally sure. i rarely see people build it though.
