The other important thing to know about towers is that when they attack heroes they gradually increase their damage. Ex: We'll assume the tower deals 100 damage, increases at 10% per shot, and maxes at 155%. If a champion tower dives alone and takes all tower hits, it would look like this:
85 damage (starts at 85% standard)
95 damage (increased by 10%)
105 damage (increased by 10%)
115 damage (increased by 10%)
125 damage (increased by 10%)
135 damage (increased by 10%)
145 damage (increased by 10%)
155 damage (increased by 10%)
155 damage (damage is maxed)
When the tower switches targets between champions, the damage will decrease to 125% standard if it is above that. Using the previous example:
85 damage (starts at 85% standard)
95 damage (increased by 10%)
105 damage (increased by 10%)
115 damage (increased by 10%)
125 damage (increased by 10%)
135 damage (increased by 10%)
145 damage (increased by 10%)
*Tower switches to Champion B*
125 damage (reduced to 125% standard)
135 damage (increased by 10%)
145 damage (increased by 10%)
155 damage (damage is maxed)
The only way that this damage increase will go away is if the tower hits a minion or doesn't perform an attack for 4 seconds.
Miss <hero> <location> is generally helpful.
Only takes a second to write, and it might save your team from getting owned.
I think a comment was made in game about the damage towers do to champions. I hadn't appreciated each hit does get progressively stronger
On another note i've been pondering the miss message. How important is this? In LoL everyone sees what everyone else does on the minimap so their really shouldn't be an excuse for anyone complaining they didn't know someone went missing. I would say the exception of this would be when you see an enemy champion taking a route towards another lane - then the pings work very well. But the miss - i'm not sure how much it actually should be used as it takes away the awareness of the minimap?
Tals
It's good practice to not rely on people calling miss at all. Mid / late game you should always pay attention to the minimap anyway so it's a good idea to pay attention to it all the time.
To be honest almost ALL of the times I do call miss, ping the minimap and tell them to go back people push anyway and then moan when they die.
No question, create a EU account. The EU accounts are shortly (2 weeks) going to come under the control of Riot in Europe. The servers will be relocated to Germany and hopefully the only difference between Eu and US will be the ping. Goa collectors packs work and are going for an absolute steal.
We have quite a few playing now regularly on the Europe servers so once you get +10level lots of people to group with. As ever info on joining us on 1st post as well as various video links etc
** Note you can have a EU and US account the are totally independant and that includes the client. I have a level 30 Eu and a Level 14 US if that assists in illustrating the point
