*** League of Legends ***

Can't disagree there - although I suspect what we will get is Riot being the front end and GOA still managing the servers albeit being told it's RIOT

ya sounds about right tals lol!

but might be good as Riot can now get direct access to the information they require to solve the problems

I think a comment was made in game about the damage towers do to champions. I hadn't appreciated each hit does get progressively stronger

The other important thing to know about towers is that when they attack heroes they gradually increase their damage. Ex: We'll assume the tower deals 100 damage, increases at 10% per shot, and maxes at 155%. If a champion tower dives alone and takes all tower hits, it would look like this:

85 damage (starts at 85% standard)
95 damage (increased by 10%)
105 damage (increased by 10%)
115 damage (increased by 10%)
125 damage (increased by 10%)
135 damage (increased by 10%)
145 damage (increased by 10%)
155 damage (increased by 10%)
155 damage (damage is maxed)

When the tower switches targets between champions, the damage will decrease to 125% standard if it is above that. Using the previous example:

85 damage (starts at 85% standard)
95 damage (increased by 10%)
105 damage (increased by 10%)
115 damage (increased by 10%)
125 damage (increased by 10%)
135 damage (increased by 10%)
145 damage (increased by 10%)

*Tower switches to Champion B*

125 damage (reduced to 125% standard)
135 damage (increased by 10%)
145 damage (increased by 10%)
155 damage (damage is maxed)

The only way that this damage increase will go away is if the tower hits a minion or doesn't perform an attack for 4 seconds.

On another note i've been pondering the miss message. How important is this? In LoL everyone sees what everyone else does on the minimap so their really shouldn't be an excuse for anyone complaining they didn't know someone went missing. I would say the exception of this would be when you see an enemy champion taking a route towards another lane - then the pings work very well. But the miss - i'm not sure how much it actually should be used as it takes away the awareness of the minimap?

I generally call mis as much as possible just to stop any possible excuse for my team to get ganked. I probably call it too much tbh, as maybe 80% of the time it's followed by a 're' ;]

Miss <hero> <location> is generally helpful.

Only takes a second to write, and it might save your team from getting owned.

I'd challenge you to type a sentance of that nature in a second. That I guess is my point. That said I would agree that it does just wake the other person to the fact that a gank is about to happen but it's very HoN/DotA IMHO. You all can see what the others are seeing.

Fun match last night

http://www.lolbase.net/matches/view/EU11761202

Our Tyndamere was feeding big time to the other side. He then rage quit so it was 4 v 5 but although we were loosing to the kills we were slowly taking the towers. Their Gargaras then rage quit - maybe because it wasn't going his way :) So 4 v 4

Their Katarina was on fire, the rest of the team wern't at the same level so we managed to focus on her. With her out of the equation we gained entry into their base through the centre. They then as a team started to push the lane and got into our base but Gorber and I back doored first and down the base went very quickly :) Great game and really good natured except for our Tyndamere

It's good practice to not rely on people calling miss at all. Mid / late game you should always pay attention to the minimap anyway so it's a good idea to pay attention to it all the time.

To be honest almost ALL of the times I do call miss, ping the minimap and tell them to go back people push anyway and then moan when they die.

most games are lost because some people are stupid and take risks all the time they just feed the enemy champions gold  always stay behind your minions preferably near a turret so you dont get ganked

I think you sum it up nicely. Call it because it adds to the picture but every one should be aware.

Typing wise I'll bite :) I'm probably as fast a two finger typist as you get. The problem is you have one hand on qwer and the other on the mouse. I'd like to see some method either via a radial system ala bf2 or a function key to call set warnings or requests.

Obviously on vent its not a big deal and the pings can be remarkably versatile

I think I have just found the must have app for lol :)

http://www.mannanlive.com/mannanlive/LoL/

Just set your mastery settings in it and save them. Then when in the masteries page of champion select you load mastery and run and it changes the masteries accordingly - 3 secs :)

Note it no longer works if you are playing around with it in summoner profile - but tbh who cares, it's the champion select where we need this :)

No question, create a EU account. The EU accounts are shortly (2 weeks) going to come under the control of Riot in Europe. The servers will be relocated to Germany and hopefully the only difference between Eu and US will be the ping. Goa collectors packs work and are going for an absolute steal.

We have quite a few playing now regularly on the Europe servers so once you get +10level lots of people to group with. As ever info on joining us on 1st post as well as various video links etc

** Note you can have a EU and US account the are totally independant and that includes the client. I have a level 30 Eu and a Level 14 US if that assists in illustrating the point :)

EU it is then - thanks!

You mention the GOA Collectors Pack... I thought LoL was free? What extra does the Collectors Pack give me? If it's a significant advantage then I might get it, where's the best place to get it from at the moment :)

Cheers!

You get 20 champs, and £10 worth of Riot points which allows you to buy champs and xp bonus etc, well worth it for £5.

A Diverse Set of Champions - 20 Champions to get you into the League Of Legends world
Summoner Runes - The Summoner Rune system will provide additional customisation options and power to each players account. The Starter Pack comes with a variety of exclusive runes that provide unique abilities.

If you like the game it is worth buying a few copies as its a cheaper way to get the Riot points.
