I've had a number of crashes when the game first loads, Ithink others are experiencing it and had hoped i'd see more of the issue in the bug forum but their is nothing. I've created a thread here:-

I know, I'd have thought ranked games would have gaurenteed some form of quality in the games
But its just like normal games instead people rage and shout all the time.Thats why I need some quality people to play with

Think I may give this a go tonight, been playing HON almost exclusively since the beta started so it might be time for a wee change.
How long does it take to start getting up to speed with game mechanics, item/skill builds etc
Can you join training games and so on so I dont noob up games and lose people stats.
Can you recommend any good sites for reading up on heroes, tactics etc.

If you've been a hon player you will get up to speed with this very quickly. Read the first post which gives some tutorial videos - probably won't teach you anything you don't know but at least will give you a handle on the game. I'd also suggest playing the tutorial game (just hit play and choose tutorial), it will again just help you get aquainted with the differences. On the site their is a link for DOTA (read HON players) which covers the main differences between the games. The first post also has a link to two resource sites for builds/tactics etc.
You're very welcome to join us in mumble - for normal games the only stats kept are how many wins you get so it doesn't kill your stats when you loose - probably some of the reason why there is less raging. Don't worry about runes and masteries, they come later and by the time they are useful they will make sense
I'd also suggest just hitting play now and play normal games, the matching is pretty good so you will end up with new players - because they are new players you will get disconnects (which happen far less later on and virtually never on our premade
) But at least you'll get an idea and as a hon player you should do pretty well - certainly would be the experience of other hon players who joined.Welcome!
You dont have Atitool running by any chance ?
I discovered that with my configuration at least that each and every time I attempted to play with that running in the tray, the game would crash as the game itself actually started to load. To be specific, immediately after the champ select stage has finished and it loads up each player.
Its probably just a quirky thing with my machine but thought it would be worth mentioning anyway
Oh and suffice to say that closing down Atitool solved my issues completely. Weird huh

Hmm i may have to ckeck this on my laptop as i have the same issue when trying to play on it.It just crashes when trying to load
Some too high or low?
What would be perfect is 5 tables, <1200 highest ranked score and then the votes they submitted. Then 1200-1300, 1300-1400, 1400-1500, >1500
Personally i think the results would vary going from low to high. An example would be katarina, very powerful in 1200-1400 but once you start against the better players they'll shut her down pretty easily then she wont bring anything to a team

I do sit idle in LoL quite a lot so don't wait for me to come back if your creating a game
Anim was that you we played last night btw? Would love to play you guys again using our main characters rather then new ones 
Also pete we tend to do a lot of our matchmaking in mumble so you should hop on there when your signed into LoL or whatever. It's arranged quite nicely by tals as a lobby system.

Dont remember playing anyone from here but to be fair i dont really remember any names from last night as a whole. Played with a pretty bad group at the start of the games and then mixed it up to play some higher level stuff after losing silly amounts of points :\
