Leeds United Association Football Club Takeover

I'm not convinced. Snodgrass, Lonergan and Clayton all gone with no quality to replace them - whatever Colin says about Kenny he's not better than Lonergan. He's also much older. We've brought in 3 or 4 players that got relegated from the league we played in last year and will play in this year, indicating that they're not good enough. We've brought in Andy Gray when we might as well have kept Barn Door Billy...

The only good things are the players we've managed to keep. Aidy White is a big coup, if McCormack stays that's a decent one too. They can't do everything though.

Leeds are desperate for the takeover. The leech at the helm needs to go, because he's simply going to carry on bleeding the club until he does.

Clayton was so wildly inconsistent that i'm not sure i had much faith in him anyway to be honest, and as for the portsmouth players i look at it from the point of view that the club had to be so demoralising what with not being paid, the points deduction etc that I compare them to us when we went down...we had a lot of REALLY good players that had the ability to stick with us in the top half of the prem but the environment was such that they didn't play to their potential.

I wouldn't put kenny as any worse than lonergan, but i agree that i don't think he's any better. We can only hope that warnock has the ability to get the best out of players.....something grayson was really lacking.

The thing with Clayton was that although he was inconsistent he's better than anything we've managed to replace him with, and that was with talk of the takeover still happening.

How are we supposed to attract decent players now it's off?

Feel sorry for Leeds fans when it seemed their time under that chump Bates was almost at an end. I know how gutted I'd have felt to learn out takeover was off.

Hmm, I'm not sure where Leeds go from here, you have Warnock who is good at getting people promoted but your squad is nothing amazing really and Warnock seems to have bought a load of cloggers in. I think you'll do well though as NW knows how to get these players working.

No doubt players like McCormack won't sign a new deal now though.

No. Do you mean they're saying it's just the expiry of the exclusivity period?

I think it's a bit of straw clutching.

I believe that Papa Smurf is in Leeds. He wouldn't be there unless it was important as he only has so many days in the UK due to Tax exile status.

As long as it's only a small share that doesn't give him any say in any decisions that's fine.

I think Papa Smurf wanted to stay as chairman as he said he has vital experience of running a club and the new owners would not have experience.
