Well if thats the case I expect to pay no more the $10 because its the same game with a few new maps and weapons!
How dare they. Being a business and all.
Come November I'll welcome a different take on Left 4 Dead.
same here, i was a bit ticked of at first with them doing this but i paid £15 for l4d1 and i have got at least 100+ hours out of it so will get l4d2 for sure, tbh i have got most of valves games (tf2,dod.s cs.s to name a few) and never been put of by one

I gotta say im a little bit gutted, as i didnt get L4D that long ago. Tbf I didnt pay a premium price either. I still have faith in Valve, they are the top dev atm for me. The only thing they could do more is put grens back in TF 
I do hope there is a lot more development in game types/multiplayer in L4D 2, i would like to be a worthy sequel rather than a samey expensive expansion.

Just watched that multiplayer footage, and yes it looks good more gore etc. Slightly more TF2 looking but meh.
What looks a bit rubbish to put it lightly is, you have "new weapons" which are just re skins of the old ones. 1st tier an uzi and a shotgun 2nd tier auto shottie, assault rifle and although they didn't show it another sniper rifle.

shame i liked valve seems they just becoming cash cows i means where is the next chapter of half life and css its dissapointing they really milking it

I don't mind there being a l4d2, was just hoping for some more variety would be nice to have a few handguns available.
Maybe some other hardware, I mean it is based in America where people can own all sorts of weaponary legally. Why not give the surivors the option to raid some homes and get a nice selection of guns.

Not to mention the insenderay ammo.
Now these weapons may be similar to existing ones but how mny different types of weapons exist?

My hourly rate is £8 per hour, so for £25 I would expect no less than 3hrs of good gameplay from it.
However, i've had it about 6 months now and I must've had a good few 100 hours!!
That's usually how I judge the pricing of something, if it is comparable to your pay then it's worth while.
It's fair to me that they are bringing out a new one.
I'll definitely buy it

I dont think people are saying it's unfair. It just seems to be an unusual move from a company that's usually pretty good at constantly renewing the lifecycle of it's products to suddenly shelve something within a year of it's release. People are worried about what that means, and i can understand that.
