I had one (27GP950) and wasn't impressed, so returned. 2K to 4K wasn't a big jump in quality (especially not for £500 more).

Will make do with my excellent Dell S2721DGFA 1440p IPS

Will wait till 4K OLED tech on monitors improves in about 4-5 years

It's really more about the standard resolution and integer scaling. PC displays have been driven by video standards since 2009 when 16:9 became the default ratio. 1080p is yesterday's video and thus display standard, 2160p is today's standard. You can watch 1080p video on 2160p screen and vice versa and you'll be getting integer scaling. That's not the case with 1440p display.

I too would like OLED to become viable, but I'm starting to think that they may never solve that pesky burn in issue, it's likely an inherent flaw in this technology. We're gonna have to wait for something that comes after LCD and OLED. Maybe MicroLED will be it, who knows.

Seems even the scalpers haven't got any of these, congrats to anyone that managed to get hold of one!

Mid July, but take with a pinch of salt.

Do you plan to post here when there's stock news? Will they be available for pre-order or just up on the site when you get stock?

Seems upon my search for a HDMI 2.1 monitor I have found an endless rabbit hole of other people that also want this monitor, lol.
It's a great shame I feel as I've missed out on some spectacle playing some of the PS5 and PS4 -> PS5 games on 1080p.
Really hope this monitor comes back into stock soon :)

Just a bit of a heads up, this is going to be a VERY popular monitor I suspect and if it is in stock it sure won't be for long! It'll probably pop back in and out of stock for a good 6 months+

Even though you'll have a bit of a wait I'd pre-order it personally then you know you'll get one at some point.

I'd be happy to pre-order if there was an option to haha

I had an issue logging in, so tried out that amazon login/payment... they seem to take a few mins to process.... that was nerve wracking whilst it was pending haha!

I seemed to have got an order in but fully expecting it to be cancelled.

**Edit**

Order saying it has gone through.... but still suspicious!

Yeh, weirdly, i keep seeing it go from 1 in stock to out of stock and back again.
Maybe some payments are coming back or they are adding them to stock as they take them off the truck :P

Wonder if it's a technique to stop scalpers. Seems liked they fibbed a little in how many they had and when they would have them to put them off too.

To be honest, I think that most retailers don't even know themselves what turns up and when these days. I tried to buy a guitar that was on a 3month pre-order which got bumped to a year because the manufacturers currently don't even know when they will be able to fulfill back orders.
I think that even though they might say 'more expected mid July' it could be that the suppliers managed to get them made/sent ahead of schedule or that it might be even later than that... just depends. I don't expect it to be intentionally deceitful.

Fair

**EDIT**

Product page has moved from in stock to pre-order. Even more interesting imo.

Just got myself a pre order, been checking since 8am and left it a few hrs - thank god I didn't miss it. I know exactly what I'm in for with this display as I bought a 27GN950 from OC October last year. Beware of the build quality - the 27gn950 didn't even 6 months before developing a stuck pixel. Good thing OC are amazing with organising RMAs and issuing refunds, been sleeping under the proverbial bridge using a borrowed 1080p monitor waiting till I can get my hands on the 27GP950. These displays are absolute bang for your buck, with gorgeous design, just be aware that the build quality on some units will inevitably be poor.
