is anyone else constantly checking this thread for an update? I am. I am also away first two weeks of August. It better come this weekend... urghh.

To be honest, no. It won't make it come any faster ;)
But I'm not going anywhere soon and I work from home so it's not likely I'll miss the delivery, slightly different for me I suppose.

Every 5 mins, I just hope when I get the monitor I'm not back to this thread for the black screen issue

I actually have the exact same black screen issue with a 1920x1200 HP panel, and my other half has it with a 1080p Acer model. The issue only started in the last 6 months or so and I'm unconvinced that it's specific to this monitor.

Well, when you haven't had this issue before and then you got to this monitor and it starts.... kinda points to one place :p

You'd be surprised how easily that assumption could be wrong.

For example, somebody earlier in the thread seems to have solved it by changing to a different power socket.
I can't help but wonder if we're all plugging in this monitor to the same extension socket as our computer, plus a bunch of other devices, and overloading the thing.
We mostly assume that an extension socket can handle anything we plug in to it, but there's a very good reason you're not supposed to, for example, daisy chain them.

I'm actually looking forward to testing if I can replicate the issue when I get the thing.

So I have had my monitor since late May in the U.S. and have almost 800 hours on it. I have also just started to get the 1 second black screen flash on PC. It has not happened on hdmi 2.1 to PS5 at all but I also do not play my PS5 that much. I'm on a 3080 with two other monitors connected, a 27gn850 and a 48CX but they are always off. My firmware is updated and I do have the usb connected from monitor to PC. I have never overclocked the monitor yet but do use a aftermarket DP 1.4 that is VESA certified. Starting to wonder if this is going to get worse.

Get the vote in up top I will be using this thread when i get my next message from LG through.

Also worth a try putting the monitor plug into its own socket on the wall if you can.

I just webnote asking for ETA and they said they had no idea when it would be in, seems unlikely its tomorrow with that kind of response

the guy who’s in charge of stock updates and whatnot told me on the phone they’re expecting shipment Friday and I’ll be getting mine on Saturday. So idk what that guy who replied to you is smoking lol. But if he is right and I don’t get mine this Saturday I’m gonna go look elsewhere and cancel my pre order

Expecting shipment and guaranteed to arrive are two different things though.
If I were you I'd only cancel the pre-order if you can source it elsewhere, as far as I'm aware it's the same stock situation everywhere in the UK.

It would suck if you cancelled your preorder and the monitors arrived on Saturday for delivery Monday.

wdym two different things? If they get it, they use DPD next day shipping which is mon-sat I believe trust me I’ve been making a lot of phone calls to OC loooool and at first they weren’t sure, but last week they got an update saying 30th so… fingers crossed!

That OC are expecting the shipment to arrive at their warehouse tomorrow does not guarantee that the shipment will arrive at their warehouse tomorrow, that's all.

I suppose it would be most prudent to expand the preorder list when they are next able to buy stock from the importer, which may not be the same day the previous order is fulfilled.
