Someone said they had something dispatched on Friday last week and DPD said Monday but came on Saturday so I guess you never know lol

Up early this morning for work and just got the message from DPD that it’s out for delivery this morning between 8am and 9am, most of you guys surely will be getting them today!

guys! This is true! I just got another email from DPD saying I’ll be getting mine today! I guess it was a good thing I got my day off from work haha! It’s been a pleasure waiting with you all and I hope you all enjoy it! And to those who are waiting to buy one… hope you get one soon!

Fuсk. I stayed up until 3 AM, but the DPD tracking wasn't showing it's at my local depot, so I thought OK, it's gonna be Monday and went to sleep. This morning DPD bаstard wakes me up, takes my picture in a god dаmn bathrobe.

please share a picture of the duals up and running! Would love to hear your thoughts.

Well, here are my thoughts:
  • I'm not a fan of the stands, they take up too much space. I like the more conservative ones like on my old Dell Ultrasharps.
  • I don't like the external power brick. This is the first monitor I got in 25 years that has one. I get the reasoning, but it's also just a transition until USB Type-C goes 240W.
  • Bezel at the top could be a bit thicker. My 4K webcam is struggling to stay on it.
  • No mini DP port. Really?
Otherwise, so far everything looks nice and sharp. Too bad I couldn't find any 4K@120 demo videos out there. WTF is up with that by the way?
So I've hooked up both my monitors with DP cables and they are running 144Hz out of the box. Actually I'd be fine with 120Hz.
Some weirdness when I was booting up my PC after plugging everything in - both monitors, mouse and keyboard went dark and somehow recovered after 2 minutes or so.
What are those USB ports for if they are not at the sides for convenience?

thanks for the comments, look great by the way. How is the colour on them? Do they need calibration.

It’s a shame there is no usb c, the eve’s PD and data cable seems like a clean solution to connecting a surface/macbook to the screens.

I don't know about color calibration, never bothered with that really. Colors look fine to me. It's just a shame about HDR, because I'm running Ubuntu and HDR support on Linux kinda sucks аss at the moment. But it's not much better on Winblows either as I hear.

USB Type-C is another story. The power brick is 110W which is just above USB Type-C's current max of 100W. USB Type-C passthrough was probably not considered due to the lack of ports on PCs themselves. My barely 2 year old beast of a PC only has 2 USB Type-Cs. Maybe PCI 4 will improve the situation, but I blame Intel for dragging their аss forever on that.

The USB ports are for you to connect USB devices to the monitor. One cable goes from the monitor to your PC this let's you also updated the monitor firmware when one is released.

You can also install the desktop software to then control the LEDs / video settings
