Is this black screen problem a nvidia and amd problem or Just nvidia one
It's LG's VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) problem. PS5 does not have VRR enabled, but Xbox Series X has, so the black screens are supposed to exist for xbox seX also. For me, since I plugged my monitor into other wall socket, I don't experience black screens anymore, unless I turn on other equipment (TV and AV-receiver) plugged into the same second socket. But I rarely use PC with the monitor and TV with yamaha AV-receiver simultaneously. Most of the time the TV is used as a monitor for gaming.

regarding the possible ETA, the second week of august ( as in next week?) or has the preorder listing on the site been updated to an ETA of 20th august? i hit buy so quickly that i didn't stop to read anything other than the price. im just curious but glad ive manged to pre order something which meets my needs.

I've just added a week on to the "second week of August". Afraid there isn't much science in it. Just my best guess according to the eta I'm given.

Is there any estimation when the preorders will open again please? Your journeys are ending but mine is just beginning!

Didn’t take long :)

Yes mate that’s always the worry. Arrived a few days back but not been taken out the box. Fingers crossed! I got a dual monitor arm as I’m keen on the minimalist vibe. I’ll share setup pics when they’re up and running!

I am actually still convinced its eclectic interference, I have been reading more and more into reports of people with house wiring and TV and Monitors black screening. Most of the reports describe the same issue a random split second black screen while others show screen glitches.

One report from India had the same black screen happen when a ceiling fan light was switched on.

Something in my house sockets from kitchen to up stairs is randomly triggering this I am 100% convinced due to how random this is happening. From what I am told my next bet would be to buy a UPS from **********.

This reply is interesting - I have a HEPA filtering device in this room set to auto run I guess I will need to try switching this off for a while.

Now happily running 1440p @ 144Hz with adaptive sync on and no issues.

The new DP cable didn't fix anything.
CCU didn't fix it.

I narrowed down to an old UPS and a very (electrically) noisy Air Purifier.

My old UPS was rated for 400w on the battery side; This new monitor + the extra GPU load from my system swamped this by 100w or more.

My new UPS is rated for 1500w on the battery; Problem one solved.

The second issue was electrical noise or interference.

I have a fairly powerful HEPA filtration device in my room that was plugged into the surge side of the UPS.

I have since moved this device to another outlet in my room that is on a separate circuit.

The main take always from me;

Make sure you are not overloading anything with regards to power bars, UPS or wall sockets. For me, a typical outlet in my home can handle around 2000W on the circuit; I now have my setup split between two circuits.

Get anything 'noisy' AS FAR AWAY from this monitor as you possible can.

This could be anything from an old TV, VCR etc to a fan to a air filter or vacuum.

If you're running more than one monitor with a 'switch-mode' power supply(like the one for the LG 27GL850); do your best to keep the bricks as far away from each other as possible; they're super noisy.

Has anyone with regular black screens tried turning G-Sync / VRR off? It completely solved the issue for me and it'd be good to see if it does the same for others so we can be confident where the issue is.

From what I am told my next bet would be to buy a UPS from rainforest.
fwiw mine is already attached to a APC BX1400UI UPS and i still get a black screen like clockwork in Night of the Dead and nothing else. I'm not excluding the possibility it is an electrical issue for some but for me 99.99% sure it is a VRR issue for me. Also never had any issues with my previous LG 4k 60hz monitor.

I am no expert when it comes to UPS but I have been told by the guy that pointed me in the direction of house wiring might be the issue that a UPS with PureSine is required to fix this type of issue. A surge protector wouldn't help CyberPower PureSine is recommended from him and I should just select the required total power for only my monitors leaving the PC plugged into the wall socket alone.
