All I know is that when using only DP I don't have the issue, if I mix it up again I get black screens randomly.
That sounds more like Windows discovering or dropping off a HDMI connection which can result in a short black screen due to Windows. I get that if i plug in my VR headset, this monitor will go to black then come back again, that includes at the Windows desktop. The buggy black screen within games with VRR enabled is a very short blip of a black screen and noticeably different to the HDMI behaviour.

I only have the DP connected on the monitor and unless the VR headset is in use that is always unplugged from my system.

Not saying 100% the above is the case but mentioning it all the same.

I thought something similar, I've had two different manifestations of it - one where it will go black for perhaps 1 second, and another where it loses signal entirely and the display either needs to be power cycled, messing around with the OSD settings or alt+tabbing around Windows for a while brought it back. The latter was less common and if I recall only happened on HDMI with HDR enabled and/or at 4k. Dropping the resolutions and disabling HDR fixed it but either using 4k or leaving HDR on would cause the issue. In both instances there was no "disconnect/connect" noise from Windows, and in the latter case I could see in both display properties and NVidia control panel that the monitor was still detected and the GPU was out putting display. The former symptom was too fast to really see anything.

Also it would occur when DP was being used for the 27GP950 and HDMI for the 27GN850 and/or Z24N G2. It was quite infuriating to really try and nail down some sort of pattern or reasoning and still doesn't make a lot of sense to me today.

I stopped investigating and experimenting once it had stabilized under my all-DP solution. When I get my replacement panel I'll go all DP again and hopefully it'll remain stable.

That sounds very similar to the experience i've had with my VR headset when i unplug the HDMI cable. Goes black every time at the desktop, no disconnect sound from Windows and sometimes the monitor struggled to wake back up. Again all very different to the gaming blips i've experienced.

Cool you got it sorted and good luck :)

After using this monitor for a bit I'm not sure what to make of it.

The added clarity is fairly decent over 1440p, but I'm not sure I'm sold on the responsiveness of the screen itself. I may have been spoiled by my S2417DG TN screen, either that or maybe i was expecting more.

Not that there's much choice with 4k monitors right now anyway..

If it does it's silent, I never once heard anything like a fan and can't see where it would vent based on the chassis. It isn't mentioned anywhere in the hardware specification.

It does, one of the main complaints with the GN was the fan whining because it ran at 45% at the slowest

LG appears to have tweaked the GP's fan so it remains silent at all times.

LG direct, they get stock in quite a bit if you subscribe be notified. I just made sure i was already logged in with payment info handy and got one after a couple attempts. Gonna order a second one if this one’s fault free
May I ask where you subscribed to get notified?
I don't see that feature...

Also, how is the monitor - do you have any issues with it?

Now had an updated ETA of 31st August to the distributor, so a couple of days later to get the stock to us.

I've emailed everyone with a pre-order.

We should have a small amount left over for general sale after pre-orders have been fulfilled.

Hi Nik,

Can you please confirm if you've still got some stock left over for general sale?
