Yeah, is getting a little bit ridiculous. Like the retailers and the suppliers we all have a business to run and they don't realise that some of us might lose money waiting for a product to arrive. I am a content creator and also graphic designer and my setup is complete for a while now except for my second screen from OcUk....the one I am waiting for over a month now.

I feel like if we get told a date in email, then get no update once that date has passed, then I call up and get told a date and that passes with no further communication that is far from ideal situation and a discount should be given.

If OcUK don’t have a confirmed date from suppliers they shouldn’t give us a date to build up our hopes. And if they do get a date from suppliers that doesn’t work out then they (OcUK) should compensate their customers (us) and complain to the supplier. Communication is key and updates via emails should be sent regularly rather than relaying on irregular forum updates.

Unfortunately nobody is listening...I hope the screen arrives eventually but one thing I can say for sure is that OcUK lost another customer. I've heard all the possible excuses over the last couple of weeks.

They said they would receive them Wednesday or Friday. They are using DPD as a delivery provider, therefore minimum we would receive them Thursday, maximum Saturday according to this information.

it’s Wednesday. Relax. They can’t apply our money as revenue until shipment, they are wanting to ship them as soon as possible.

DPD lol. If it's in UK like in Germany hope it will be delivered in one piece.

They are throwing the packages into a car on other packages. And out they are dropping it on the asphalt.

Subsubsubcompanies are processing the delivery for DPD :D. They got slave wages for up to 18 h work per day. Very motivated so.

Would only order via DHL or UPS. Maybe Hermes. But never DPD.

You know you can cancel a pre-order and get a refund right?
Yes, but that isn’t the point, especially when there isn’t stock elsewhere.

they already took too many pre orders months ago for the last shipment and have already gave two dates that have passed this time (not counting the one that said this Wednesday/Friday to get shipment, and on that note do deliveries not happen on Thursday or something?).

If they were in stock elsewhere (and I got an order) I would have already cancelled by order here.

What amount of compensation do you think you should get for a delayed pre-order then?

Considering the are charging £50 more than competitions I’m sure they could easily knock £10-£30 for a start. I’ve had other companies do similar but for vouchers which is better than nothing.

Heck, an apology or even an proper update would be a start.

Agreed. Still don't understand why they are charging extra

DPD in the UK is probably the best courrier service here. Personally i've had nothing but excellent service from them. Staff in the UK seem happy and well compensated. I've had the same delivery driver for years too and he's awesome!

Oddly i don't often recieve saturday deliveries from OC - they like to charge extra even though DPD don't seem to.

I've found the whole process kinda annoying as well.

They're charging £50 over RRP solely because they can. They know that people will pay £50 over the odds cos they're hard to get hold of.

I ordered my monitor on June 21st with an estimated delivery date of mid-July. I heard nothing until July 30th when I got an email saying they hadn't received enough stock to fulfil my order and that they were expecting another shipment in August. Then I got an email on August 17th saying that the expected arrival date was September 2nd and if they receive any further updates they will email me. Clearly that date has come and gone, but I didn't receive any more emails.

They took the money as soon as my order was placed, which is something else I found unusual, as usually business put a hold on the funds but then charge your card as the product is about to ship.

When it comes to the price, well, it's not like they weren't upfront about it, so it was my choice to pay £50 extra, but I didn't expect to be sitting here in the second week of September still waiting for a monitor I ordered in June, while they've had my £800 in their bank account for 2½ months, and their communication has been far from good.

As for cancelling, obviously when I placed the order I knew I'd have to wait a few weeks, but I have now been given 3 different estimated delivery dates, all of which have come and gone, and I wouldn't have known about the shipment supposedly arriving this week if I hadn't come to this forum to look for info.

Wow. And I thought I've been waiting a long time. I had no idea there's still people from that long ago who haven't even recieved it yet. Doesn't really give me much confidence that they'll even ship this week tbh

This is precisely what happened with the GN, sure LG aren't delivering enough panels but OCUK shouldn't be reopening preorders and taking money when they *know* there are supply issues

Oh well, my prebuilt system that can actually run the monitor is still 2 months out so it doesn't change much for me personally

It's sad to see users just voting yes and not actually having a abit of a discussion.
I would be interested in reading other people's findings.
Had mine for a week and so far no black screens. Only problem so far is the software OnScreen Control & LG Ultragear Control Center cannot detect the monitor under Windows 11. Tried it on my wife's Windows 10 PC and the software works as expected. I've been corresponding with LG but they don't have an answer and when I asked about beta software for Windows 11, they said they didn't have access! With just under a month until launch I expect new software pretty soon.
