Is there any news on preorders? Are we still expecting stock to be delivered to OC around 11th Feb? Thanks!
Seems like there will be an 11th of Feb but that is all allocated now. I ordered over the weekend even when page said 11th of feb ETA but when I phoned them today they said I would only get an allocation from the 28th of feb one.

If it's month that's short time:
Here in Finland one of the biggest PC hardware shops has been waiting for these monitors since last summer.
And another one, actually owned by OcUK's parent company, haven't had much better luck.
Though lately they seem to have had small shipment, or then people have cancelled.

Have to wonder what the heck LG is doing when availability is this bad?
It's like they're disregarding monitor market... And focusing on OLED TVs?

Hey everyone! For those with preorders, thought I’d share this email I received (when asking if it’s still on track to receive their stock this week).

As far I can see we're supposed to be due stock at the end of the week, once this stock arrives orders will be shipped.

Considering you placed your order early January, it's very likely that you're going to be within this first batch however I can't provide a guarantee as we may receive less stock than what we have ordered.

How is it not related? I've been following this discussion since even before my monitor arrived. I no longer have the random black screen flashes that occur when using 144Hz+. I'm just sharing my experience that I only had these issues once the monitor wakes up after an idle sleep. But thanks for gatekeeping the discussion...
Because plenty of people have problems without the sleep bug.

We're getting close to an entire quarter since their estimated launch date for the new firmware and no updates sop far.

Hello, I have a problem with my screens and only in games. First of all I explain you the context: I have a new configuration based on 12900k, 3090, and 32gb of ram, under Windows 11, with updated drivers. I use 2 monitors, an Asus XG27UQR (4k, 144hz) and an XG27AQM (1440p, 240hz). With the Nvidia panel they are respectively in 4K 144hz 10 bits and RVB full range, while the other is in 1440p, 240hz, 10 Bits RVB full range. When I play for example on one of the two screens, either one or the other will go into black screen flickering, for 2/3s, it will flash, until I close the game. Both screens are G-sync compatible and certified, it's well enabled, both on the Nvidia panel and in the monitor.

The Hardware Unboxed review of the 27GP950 is up on youtube. I wrote a comment asking them to check into the black screen problem so they can force LG to fix this issue. The video link is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUljS4X4zuY

Here's the comment on youtube so you can search and upvote it to give it clarity:

This monitor is plagued with intermittent black screen issues when using gsync over the display port. The problem was acknowledged by LG and they promised a firmware update to fix it due in November which hasn't been released yet. It has been over 7 months since the release of this monitor and the problem remains unfixed. How did you miss this issue on your review?? LG's handling of this issue is similar to what happened with the Samsung odyssey G9 which you also failed to catch in your review. Please look further into the black screen issue so LG is forced to fix the problem.

Also add your comment replies asking them to look into it. This is our last chance :S

I messaged Rtings, they didn't find the issue. I messaged HWU, they probably never saw my message, and then they missed the issue.
........

I hope DP actually gets black screen fixed since HDMI doesn't have high refresh rate modes for DSR desktop resolutions (important for DSR in old games).

I don't think I've had the black screen thing happen yet. Apart from the first use thing where it seemed to have crashed? Not sure, only other thing I had happen a couple of times is that bug where it looks like the screen is split down the middle, but easily fixed by turning off and on again. I do hear a light clack now and again which I'm assuming is normal from what I've been reading, seems to be the fan.

The black screen issue happened on my Dell 1440p screen at random times, then it's like it went away by itself, no idea what caused it.

I found a way to get DSR desktop resolution (required for DSR in some old games) and 120hz refresh rate on HDMI. Rather than adjusting refresh rate like I normally do by clicking 'advanced display settings' and hitting the drop down menu, I hit 'advanced display settings' then 'display adapter properties for display 1', monitor tab, and then use that drop down menu to get 120hz with 8k desktop resolution.

It's still not possible to get 144hz gaming without black screen but at least I can play 120hz without black screens with no weird limitations now. 160hz DSR even after the firmware is probably a pipe dream, but personally doesn't bother me since I can't see a difference between 144hz and 160hz.

Unfortunately there's been a delay on the stock due to land with us this week.

That stock is now ETA to LG warehouse 21/02/22

If everything goes smoothly then that could be with us by the end of next week (25/02/22).

I've requested some more info on this allocation and the next one but the guy at LG is off today so if I get any more information tomorrow I'll update here.

Did you get your order, or is this stock that Niks referring to in his last post that's delayed?

I put a hold on my delivery as I was away :(

This is the stock Niks referring to. Was your order dispatched then and you just told the delivery company to reschedule?

No, I asked Overclockers to delay delivery prior to it being available. I then just got an out of stock email this morning which is when it was meant to be sent, I was just surprised as they had deliveries scheduled in for last week so kind of expected a bit of an earlier heads up from them to be fair, perhaps its because I changed my delivery.

Is this the first that you became aware of it, or did you get an email as well?

Ah i see what you mean now! Well I emailed them last Friday, 11th Feb asking if the stock was delivered as expected. They replied Mon, 14th Feb saying they didn’t receive the stock and hoping they’ll get it this week. Then I emailed again yesterday to check, and they confirm the delay. I’ve monitored this thread for a while and seen they’ve had similar delays before, which is why I was nervous in the first place. But as long as they communicate, can’t ask for much else! Seems like they are trying their best, which is much appreciated in covid times.

Totally, I'm just trying to work out if LG is going to ever get their act together, other monitors that maybe arent as great but are cheaper are becoming available. Going to give it some thought tonight :)

We currently have 50 units in LG's warehouse allocated to us via our distributor. We are waiting for this to ship to them, us, and then you.

This is the stock which was due to us this week. I'm currently chivying this along and trying to get it to us as fast as possible.

What was due to us the end of Feb (which should cover the remainder of back orders), has been delayed to LG. ETA to them beginning of March.

Appreciate the updates. I preordered early Jan, so hopefully the order can be dispatched beginning of March then. Fingers crossed
