Turned the PC on today to find a monitor firmware update, this is running now!

Thankfully I have never experienced the black screen issue with my setup but is this the long awaited fix? Anyone else got this update?

Thanks I will have a look tonight and report back.

If this is the update we waiting on.

Along with the reported fix you should also be able to run hdmi at 144hz

Yes, the OSC app did the update. Now firmware version "4.04, 31, 6.06", though I forgot to check the previous version. Time will tell whether it fixes the black screens. Too little time played to celebrate yet, but so far so good.

yes, 144hz over hdmi is here. To enable it go to monitor settings -> Main -> HDMI Ultra deep color -> On (144hz)

p.s. black screens with 160hz DP mode still appears. So HDMI 2.1 is best option

I can now confirm what dvv47 postred earlier about there still being black screens after this firmware update. I was able to catch 1 black screen after 2 days of playing. This firmware update does indeed reduce the number of black screens but more importantly, it fixed everything being stuttery with gsync after said black screen(the fix before was to power cycle the monitor after a black screen). Seems like this isn't the complete fix we have been waiting for but at least the display port/sync is usable now. For reference: (RTX 3080, GSYNC ON, Display Port)

Have been playing at 160hz (DP) with fluctuating fps between 60 and 150 (freesync on and 100% working, average fps ~130) for like 4-6 hours. Did not have a single black screen. With the stock firmware I would get at least 1-2 black screens at this mode. Radeon driver's version 22.2.2.
