Full LG C1 OLED line up info is due this Monday 11th according to Vincent

Not sure they would announce a new 48C1 just yet, CX48 barely hit fuller markets just in October/November last year (currys promo was unique) that would kill potential 48CX sales, complete guesstimate but I reckon LG will release the 55inchC1 > 83inchC1 this Summer and then the 48C1 fall 2021.

This is really, really minor UNLESS you game exclusively on xbox series X which does VRR and isn't powerful enough to drive 120hz. This is where it is most apparent. On PC, I have never even seen the VRR gamma issue in practice when playing, but I also hit 120fps on almost everything I've played.

Much worse is the dolby vision issues on netflix, my god it is so bad. I hope Netflix or LG get that stuff fixed, because I shouldn't be seeing bad blacks on this screen, that is the entire point of oled.

Probably make more money if he dropped it :p

Tbf its a monster size TV and its not exactly light even for one guy to handle it.

Excellent price, really it should have been that price anyhow id say 1.2-1.3k pre covid. How did you get that awesome price anyhow ?

Richersounds price beat currys (think I'm allowed to say as OC dont sell it?)

Although I have requested a price match with John Lewis, as they do the burn in insurance for £150. It would then be £1429 and no need to worry about it...

I found the posterization much improved especially with those dark scenes fading into bright on netflix but the flashing blacks still there sadly, setting brightness to 49 helped a little. This was with the newer firmware via their site.

Only other way to avoid the posterization and flashing or floating blacks or as much as you can is to get higher bitrate files or better source material.

Awesome RS very good, there was a rumour they were going to cover burn via some insurance but we never saw it.
 
LG CES 2021 conference is at 1pm GMT tomorrow. If they don't announce a new 48 inch, then I'll be going for the 48cx at £1279 plus £140 for burn in insurance. That'll last me for 5 years until micro led is mainstream I hope..
