Lets explain the power on time shows the mount of hours you used on your TV when burn -in started, lets say your tv shows in the menu the power on time in hours is 4,000 in just six months use, but you clam you never used it that long in writing! But that menu will show the TV repair centre you did are they wrong!, You went over the 10hours a day manufacturers recommendations, so a insurance company have the right to refuse to repair it under term & conditions, so it should be 1,680hours for normal use in 6 months. In the UK we can't excess that TV information menu but TV repair centres by LG can if you live in the US you can have excess to that menu but you can't reset it, there is no reset button on the controller or menus only read only menu I wouldn't share any records to considered abuse on LG OLED's we live digital age what I mean by that is when a gamer overclock a GPU/CPU and break it the manufacturer’s will know. Everything today gets tested before a clam can be refunded in full to protect themselves against product abuse claims.

I don't have to prove anything to you on warranty and the insurance companies rules if you can't take the time in read the truth, go on the AVfourms and ask them about the OLED CX/C1 tv special menu called 'Service Menu' for UK models only not US and you will see it's not available.
Like all insurance companies they nearly have the same rules.

Using darker colour themes when possible would help to slow burn in.
It's bright shades which cause pixel wear fastest.

Pulled the plug on the CX55 from John Lewis in the end. I know, I know but I didnt end up getting the extra protection. For the amount of time I actually use my downstairs TV I will take the risk.
As for the last comment though, Ive set everything to dark mode on my CX48 as its my monitor as everything is fine so far.

I took out an extra protection on my 55CX, cost me £240 I just feel it not worth that price but the problem is TV insurance companies today have too many fraudulent claims so they change the rules and rise the prices to protect themselves,

The 48C1 is usually €1199 on a webstore that I prefer to order from and the insurance for 5years is €99,90. £240 is a load of bs.

Not at all dude. To be honest I will end up swapping it for a 65 or a 75 within 2 years its just the ex wife needed a TV for the new house and I wanted an OLED for my PS5 downstairs. I cant afford or justify spending more than £1000 at the minute but in 2 years when everything is paid off (new couch, bed ,etc) I will be fine paying for a bigger, better version.

It's only JL that charges the extra premium for burn in, which is part of their accidental coverage.

I am looking to get one of these imminently can anyone tell me from the back of the stand to the front of the tv what the depth is? I am seeing varying reports I am trying to work out from the edge of my desk where the front of the screen is, I am looking at the CX version is it's cheaper.

I am getting one on Sunday from a forum member, a C1, any useful apps for splitting the screen workspaces ect? I am going to use windows and a macbook pro plugged in via usbc>hdmi, really excited to pick it up!!

For Windows I use Winsplit Revolution, though I'm sure there are more advanced apps. This lets me set keyboard shortcuts and custom placement/dimensions though, which is plenty useful.
Took delivery of a 48" C1 at the weekend. Hard to give an exact dimension as the front of the stand is in the way but it's about 195mm from rear most edge of stand to front of the screen, then there's the front bit of the stand to consider as well.
The other dimension I wanted but couldn't find was the width of the front part of the stand where it touches the table. It's about 750mm so it fits on my 800mm wide tv stand without an issue. They quote 820 I think which is the width at the junction between the tv and stand.

bigger is always better than small for home cinema I love to have the 65inch but don't have the room. I Now need a RTX3090 but now the wife wants an OLED it's never ending spending money in the house
I buy my OLED 55CX last year September 2020 what is done is now passed, if I came on this thread I would have bought it from JL with Protect+ maybe in the future I will
I wouldn't buy a second hand OLED too risky imo, but that's your choice

yeah I know what you mean but the guy bought it from john lewis and it's only 5 days old, can't return it as they won't accept is because he turned it on, has receipt and full warranty so shoould be fine

The OLED stand is ok if you put it on a TV cabinet I have mine on desktop so I change mine to a all metal SANUS VTVS1-B2
Just enjoy your OLED TV
and keep the Remote away from wife if she starts to use it, it will never be yours

Hehe as far as she is concerned it's a monitor not a TV!! we have a 65 OLED downstairs also, also an LG one of the first ones it's still going but the oled pixels have been slowly dying in a big black spot outwards!!! hope this doesn't suffer the same fate!!
