Could I ask if you use anything to sub divide the screen estate?
Actually no, I don't use any tools for that. I resize everything manually. In my opinion the real benefit from such a large screen is that you can move your windows according to your seating on a chair. Let's say you're reclining a bit, so it would be convenient to lower your actual window. Or for example you're leaning your head on the left hand so the window has to move at the left side of the screen accordingly. Your know it's impossible to sit at exactly the same position all the day long so I think it's nice to have such a feature when you can simply move your windows over the screen just by a few clicks rather than moving a physical device.
That's why I don't get most reviewers when they state the fixed stand as a con. For me it's nice that I can place my display on a table just once and never touch it again.
However for games I often use ultrawidescreen option. I created some custom resolution in the Nvidia control panel such as
3840x1800 and
3840x1600 for some games which don't have field of view adjustment or simply looks better in the ultrawidescreen mode. Thanks to OLED technology, no
black grey bars in a dark room! Also it can save some good portion of GPU power if I need more fps (my RTX 3070 is not good enough at full 4K in some titles).
I just noticed the cable I bought isn't certified
I think it's not a mandatory to be certified when it comes to just a cable.
I think many manufactures do the same if not better quality product as a premium certified ones and don't get approved for some reasons (money
). When I was buying my
LG C1 I realized that HDMI cable is not included so I decided to buy what I can get at a local shop today, so I got
Ugreen HD135 70320 which is 1.5 m long and costs £18. With this cable I've got
full range 10 bit 444 with no problems at all.
