LG 48CX OLED - 4K 120 Hz

Whenever I'll get an OLED tv, I don't wanna cheap out on HDMI 2.1 cable. What about the ones from AudioQuest HDMI 48?
Or are they overpriced?

Just get a solid cable that works. No need to go overboard spending crap ton (I assume) on an Audioquest one will not do anything better then another HDMI 2.1 cable that has no issues.

Did you guys turn off the auto brightness thing? I e turned mine off and just put oled brightness to 35!! Left the overall brightness to 50, not sure I really like the hdr Dolby vision it just makes films look less realistic to me and too bright!! Am I old?

I honestly think the HDR factor is bigger than the jump from 1080p to 4k. For me, the colours are what impress me more and HDR is just a level up from it. Might be alone i that but I put it down to studying art :)

Actually after playing around with the settings it was just the brightness was up way too high, in a dark room I had to lower it significantly now the HDR looks amazing, I just watched Sicario Ultra 4K HDR and it looked absolutely amazing, like being in the cinema.

oh my god this TV is insane!! I am in love with it, gaming is an incredible experience, and also watching movies ect... blown away

I see you got one in the end then? I decided to keep mine and loving it. Took a while to get used to the size coming from ultrawide but the screen is something else.

Cables - I'm using a rainforest basics HDMI cable, working fine. All the modes are present from the desktop, deepcolour is enabled and spamming the green button on the remote shows it's running at 4L10 (max bandwidth).

I was in a quandary whether I wanted to use the C1 48 as a TV downstairs or upstairs as a monitor for gaming. I've been moving it and my 436M6 about trying to decide. The 436M6 has a 4k firestick and vesa stand attached. I've solved that issue, see the post below for TLDR crowd.

CX48 available for 849 at costco uk. You'll need to be a member which is another 15 quid. You can add both to the basket at the same time. I just did. You're welcome. :)
