LG CX (C10) OLED 2020 Thread

Finally took the plunge and ordered the 65CX for £1899 inc delivery with 5 year warranty, plus I can pricematch upto Black Friday.
Need to upgrade my cinema kit now, the Yamaha RX-V1065 has been brilliant but it's over 10 years old and obviously won't pass through 4k. Looking at the Denon X2700H :)

JL have been really short of stock, they had no 77CX's in for like 2-3 months.

Today they have like 80 in stock (can see if you add loads to basket it drops to instock figure).

I guess the supply chain caught up a bit and now they have a lot of them.

John Lewis offer Paypal 0% credit and a fitting service but that may be impacted by Lockdown 2.0

I'm waiting for Box to reduce their price as they have 36 month 0%! No wall fitting though.

Looking at Vincent's video, the CX seems to have more accurate but dull colours, whereas the Q90T is a bit on the warmish pinkish side.

Got 3 CX 77 for a bulk discount at £3150 each.
Wow, way to make me feel like a peasant haha.
I'm looking to get a 65" OLED/QLED for around 1.2k. Going to see what BlackFriday offers.

It may put the Q80T in my price range. The X900H does look good though.

No plans to game on the TV really though to be honest, mainly game on pc but could possibly use it for VR.

Got my 65" WX installed (insurance replacement) and looking forward to giving it a test with the XSX/PS5 next week. Coming from the W7 I'd say the image is a slight improvement but I might be imagining it!

Yes keeping my eye on that, which is why I haven't bought one yet :)

Fingers crossed they can fix it with a firmware update, if not they'll need to start using a new chip in an updated model? No point in keep making these if they aren't fit for purpose?

I believe it is pretty much confirmed it cannot be fixed with Firmware. It will be fixed in hardware. hopefully for 2021 TVs onwards
