LG Flatron 29UM65-P (29") UltraWide Monitor Owners Thread

Back when I tried HDMI out, I didn't have CCC installed.

Doesn't matter, there will be no difference in quality etc. HDMI and display port are needed in order to use the built in speakers though.

Or the audio in 3mm jack. Im sure I seen one on the back of the monitor.

I slept on it and i changed my mind. Gonna either wait for the 34um95 to come down in price or wait for the 29" of the um95 models to come out, if they even plan to release it soon

So far with the aoc/asus/lgs being so expensive.... perhaps this Lg is the stop gap measure and then in few years time 4K/144hertz/Gsync+free sync screens will appear in the masses :)

And you'll be able to run one without spending a small fortune on graphics cards!

My LED lighting arrived today and have to say it does do a decent job. Crappy pics, looks better in "real life". I will probably cut of another few LED's as it is still rather bright!

Definitely gives the perception of an improved contrast ratio.

What LED's did you use for this? Or if you are not allowed to say on here, could you PM me?

Just the one.

I stuck mine just above the top VESA mounting holes.

The LED strip is VERY long, had to cut of quite a bit. The LED strip starts at about 3" for both sides.

...ah (got my thick head on here) so they are stuck to the rear of the monitor..! I didn't know that you could cut them, so one would be enough (50cm long it seems).

It looks very nice, you have done a good job there :)
