LG Flatron 29UM65-P (29") UltraWide Monitor Owners Thread

Yup, although mine lost most of its stickiness since I kept attaching and reattaching after cutting a bit away each time so have had to use some sellotape.

Thanks :) I definitely recommend it for any monitor.

hi, can you post some pictures close text on desktop and web browser? thanks

If it is anything like their other 29" screen then probably very good (won't be much difference though since it is most likely using the same panel by LG), personally I don't think it is worth that much extra over the LG and AOC 29" screens + ASUS customer service isn't great.

I would try the LG again, it is extremely unlikely that you will get another one with the same problem.

Whilst calibrating the screen with colourmunki photo, I found that the 'super energy saving' mode caps your minimum brightness at 149cd/m2. The recommended brightness is 120cd/m2, which is brightness 16 with energy saving off.

My panel has faint bleed in the bottom corners (on black screen) and none of the dreaded glow. :)

@james.miller

Hi James, I assume this means that you've got your 29" now. Any chance of a quick assessment of how your HD 7950 handles games at that res?

I'm about ready to push the button on the 34UM65 and some idea of your gpu's performance at that res is all that's holding me back now.

Looking forward to your report.

16!? I have mine set to 5% :p

Since you are using a calibrator, how does the cinema preset mode compare to proper calibration settings?

Able to post the settings i.e. RGB values, contrast and gamma settings please.

ATM, I am using cinema, 5% brightness and gamma is set to 1.05 in AMD CCC.

Welcome to the forums :)

Not too sure what that is, hard to tell from a photo.

Definetly not dead pixels though as they would be black I.e. turned off, perhaps a group of 'stuck' pixels?

Either way, that bleed/glow looks pretty bad IMO.

I would try and get a replacement.

Edit:

Brightness setting?
