LG Flatron 29UM65-P (29") UltraWide Monitor Owners Thread

Might be worth trying display driver uninstaller as well.

Yh. I done that last night before changing to the drivers I have installed now.

There's another two people in this thread that have had the same issue. I think they said HDMI fixed it.

I though it had for me, but it still happens. Just a lot less frequently. It's strange!

Any thoughts before I look to send this back?

Apart from that there's no other issues apart from slight IPS glow in one corner.

I'll probably just stick with my previous monitor rather than running the risk of getting another with issues and having to send that back.

I just went to use it and I soon as the monitor comes out if standby.... Flicker/corruption. God damn

If you have the the display port 1.2 setting, try disabling it:

iirc a few in the LG 34" thread said it stopped flickering even though they were using DVI-D.

Although I think LG have removed that option when you don't use display port cable as misschief etc. have said they can't see the option when using a HDMI or DVI-D cable now.

Just check that the power and display cables are firmly seated in too.

Yeah. No display port option from what I can see.

My issue has indeed been resolved by using the included HDMI cable. I only saw it using DVI.

I thought mine had as well... But after using the desktop for a while I noticed it.

Really curious why it even does it. It's bizarre!!

I've connected up my 120hz BenQ monitor again. It looks so tiny compared with the 21:9 monitor.

The stand is very basic, you only have angle adjustment and two height choices, with the max height still being a bit too low, a box will fix this though. Dell still have the best stands out there.
Could you possibly do me a favour and measure the two heights you mention... i.e from the desk surface to the top of the screen? I'm trying to figure out how it compares to my Dell and the height I have that set at. Many thanks.

Where are your cables hidden in this picture?? I've got my monitor set up now (the same model as this).. but I can't see where cables can be hidden like yours?!

Currently they go off to the right along the wall but I intend to attach them to the back of the stand and hide them behind the desk.

Unlucky :(

You going to try another one out?

Well I decided to plug it in again. First by HDMI cable.. no issues. Then DVI.

It's still connected and I haven't seen a flicker/corruption so far. I don't know!

I've already put in the RMA request, but I'll see how it goes later on tonight etc.

I also noticed some quite bad IPS glow at the bottom RH corner, but I can live with that I suppose.

Strange!

Is it definitely glow and not bleed? Able to take a photo? What brightness are you using?

I've knocked the brightness down from 100 to 40.

How's best to take a picture? Also is there a test page to see simply a black picture for example on line?

I tried to take a picture on my iphone with the lights off. You could see bleeding, but it made it look a LOT worse than it is in real life.
