LG Flatron 29UM65-P (29") UltraWide Monitor Owners Thread

Cinema preset is the most accurate for colours.

If you find the image a bit too dark then up the gamma in CCC to 1.05/1.10

Lol my brightness is set to 50% :p

No, forget it!! Just sat infront of it and it's done the weird flicker thing about 3 times in 2mins.

I need it connected by DVI as I have my TV connected by HDMI and I switch between them.

To the other two who have suffered with the issue in this thread. By any chance are you also running AMD cards? Trying to pin point if it's a AMD issue rather than the monitor. It seems fine in games.

When using the preset modes, you can't change anything other than brightness so no idea what contrast etc. is except that it is using gamma 0 setting.

edit:

damn, that didn't last long :(

As for misschief and his GPU, he is using a 780.

I'm going to try and catch it on film in a bit. Off to watch some Tellybox with the wife.

Strange that it's so intermittent. I've not noticed it in games at all.

Since typing that post 5 mins ago, it's not done it again since.

I went for a refund for my UM and got the UB model and I'm very pleased with it. The stand is great for rise n fall very easy to do. It also has two HDMI ports were as the UB only had one. and there's no bleed on this one like the last model I had to return, I'm well pleased I got a good one.

Lol I just checked, brightness on 6!

not sure how well this is going to come across, but Borderlands Pre Sequel in 21:9

Nope, nvidia 970 here. It was fine in game for me too, only did it on the desktop.

Trying to sort this out now. I was advised I could go through LG, which I don't want to.

Or, send it in and if it's found to be faulty a replacement would be sent out. Question is, what if the fault doesn't show??...

I've asked about simply returning it under DSR/14 day satisfaction for a refund.

I'll then look to order the replacement myself when confirmed. That way I won't be without a monitor.

What a cafuffle!!! (No idea if that's spelt right! Lol)

Bailey is sorting it out.

Faulty one is going to be picked up by courier. Sent back under DSR.

I'll place an order for replacement today. That way I won't be without a monitor. :)

Yip. All good.

Courier sorted for tomorrow and I've also ordered my "replacement" which will be delivered tomorrow.

First class service from OCUK! :)

Hopefully this monitor behaves or I WILL have a hairy fit!!

+1 for this ^
I called OCUK friday afternoon to get a refund for my faulty UM monitor and ordered the UB model at the same time. I got th UB sat morning and was given free delivery for my troubles. The UM was picked up this morning. You just can not find a better after sales service than that.
Keep it up OCUK.

Ok, so the second monitor I ordered at 1pm is still showing as in warehouse queue!!?! Do they still process/ship orders this late at night?

Not happy as I would have even paid to ensure it arrived tomorrow!! :(

After some messing about etc, I'm pretty sure this isn't a monitor issue. More of a GFX card issue.

I've setup 2 different profiles in MSI Afterburner. One for 2D & 3D as per another thread I found on OCUK.

I've seen maybe 3 flickers in the past hour or so. A lot less than normal.

I think it's something to do with low 2D memory clocks - or something along those lines.

Anyway!!........... I now need to phone OCUK in the morning and let them know I don't need this one picked up, or a new one delivered.
