LG Flatron 29UM65-P (29") UltraWide Monitor Owners Thread

HAHA - I've got the resolution back...man it feel good!!!!

Nice!

Still have that problem with pixels going down in a line?

Sooo close to buying this monitor, just abit worried on the bleed situation. Id rather have brightness turned down a fair bit as it does my eyes in.

TBH all these UW LG monitors seem to have some bleed, just depends on how much bleed you can put up with. This 3rd one of mine has very little bleed, only time you really notice it is when on a pure black screen and looking for it.

Yes Nexus, I do. It's not just one, its a whole line down the screen.

Damn, unlucky :(

You going to contact ocuk to get it repaired then?

What's ocuk's return policy on these with bad bleed? I'd imagine postage would be a fair bit!

If it is very bad i.e. like my first two then they will send out a new one for you or do a full refund.

ocuk arranged collection via DPD for me and I live in NI so no faff required.

Just took delivery of mine... must say I couldn't go back to using a 16:9 after just 15 mins with this... I love the wide angle and only loosing 1 cm top to bottom over my old 24"

Minor amount of bleed in the left hand corner... could even notice it at first

And the fact you can have two internet windows open side by side and loose very little real estate is great

Just had another thought... currently using hdmi as the DVI cable from my old monitor looks like its a basic one and when using it test is all muddled and blurry...

is HDMI restricted on this panel? would I be better off getting a Display port cable or DVI cable?

What brightness level have you got your monitor set to on that black screen enigma?

Also to everyone else, has anyone got a pictures of a XB1 or PS4 running on one of these?

Guys help me out.

Do i be impatient and go to my local store and buy an I want it nickel plated display port cable for 15 quid or do I wait and order a

C2G DisplayPort to DisplayPort 1.2 Cable with Latches 2m - Black (81279) form OCUK?

is there really going to be much difference?

OK My mind is blown!!!

Cant get my head around Display port... can someone just answer me the below or shoot me now...

To do 2560x1080 resolution @ 60hz do I need a Display port cable that is V1.2 or would a V1.0 cable do it?

Just went and took a look at the cable in said highstreet store and the box had pretty much no info on it except that is does upto 1080p... but i dont know if thats 1920x1080 or 2560x1080...

Don't use my custom RGB, contrast etc. settings, just use cinema preset mode and adjust brightness to your liking.

If you choose a preset do you still get the option to change the response timeing? if so whats the best setting you have found high or medium?

Also Like My LG TV's, does the Game preset turn of any input lag? i know it makes a nice defference on my TV when switching it to game mode and watching Movies or playing games.
