LG OLED 2023 Thread - A3, B3, C3, G3

With a change of circumstances in work I’m having to bring work home to finish on my ‘gaming’ PC. That wasn’t in the original plan. I have things active like dark mode, dark reader, hidden task bar etc. I hope my C3 manages it. It’s only a few hours of work here and there.
 
I've done 2 or 3 panel refreshes and the vertical banding is still there. 99% of the time you can't see an issue, but every now and again in certain dark scenes the banding is clearly visible.

Had an engineer come out today to look at it. You just cant see the banding in daylight so it doesnt look like there was an issue. I showed him the pics I had taken at night and he said its a faulty panel, and they will swap it for a new one.

Panel is on order through LG, when it arrives they will be coming back and doing the swap of panel in my living room!.

The panel is the main cost of the TV. Add on the cost of the repair service and you'd think it would cheaper to just send out a new TV.
 
I've found a refurbished 55" C3 for £799, I'm quite pleased with that.

The plan was to use this in our bedroom but I'm tempted to replace my 55 CX in the living room with the C3 and move that upstairs.
 
For those of you picking up the new firmware 13.40.75 that's started to roll out to C3s and G3s, be warned, if you use internal apps instead of an external device (eg Apple TV 4k, Fire TV etc.) it has a bug that sets the screen saver to 30 minutes instead of the previous 2 so try to avoid leaving anything static on the screens.
 
Im still having fun and games with LG over the verical banding on my brand new 83" C3. They repalced the panel, T-Con board and then this week replaced whel main motherbaord. Still getting banding issues :(#

I have asked LG for a replacement TV, just waiting to see if they will issue one.

Did you perform a pixel refresh? A brand new screen had identically spaced bands but pixel refresh sorted it.
 
Yeah, ran the pixel refresh 3 times. Band still clearly visible on dark scenes.

Yes. One workround, doesn’t work on YouTube for me, is using voice command “turn off screen”.
