LG to Introduce 34-inch IPS 21:9 UltraWide (Model UM95) monitor

The 34um95 should arrive with displayport cable, hdmi cable and dual link dvi cable according to the Linustechtips video ive seen. The little brother the 34um65 should only come with hdmi from what i know.

So for example, crysis 3, 3440x1440, high to medium settings. 45 to 60fps

I can put it on 2560x1080 and max it out. This is the new mac pro under windows.

Crossfire works. It detects the cards as two 78XX. 14.4 drivers.

Do you have D300 or D500s? As it's detecting at 78xx instead of 79xx.

I've just been gaming in OSX and had no issues in the game I play maxed out, then again they're not crysis. :p

So mine came today who's smart idea was it to include a two pronged plug which doesn't work in UK?

Is that the 34UM95? Gibbo said German stock was used in the first batch (approx 10 or so units), should have been UK stock after that unless something changed. Mine from the second batch of stock came with a 3 pin UK plug.

Just realised I have a second GTX780 for another build just chilling out downstairs and I haven't thought to try SLI with this monitor... Has anyone else given it a go?

Sometimes I wish I didn't have an other half, a gig this weekend and so much bloody work to do I probably need to ask for an extension :/

First everyone wanted this monitor always sold out @ o/c and now its available for immediate dispatch no one is willing to take the risk, espeacilly with lgs poor customer support ,im glad I never got one ,paying £830 I expect it to be top noch for a monitor.

Computeruniverse still has no update from LG Germany where my monitor was sent to (by them) for repair. I don't see why it was sent to LG Germany actually now because I included the letter from LG UK stating that they could not repair it and now it seems LG Germany are taking their sweet time with it too. I have sent LG Germany 2 emails a week apart and nobody has responded back yet. Computeruniverse's response to this is "Be patient".

A member on reddit made an interesting point in a comment reply about EU Consumer/warranty law and I've followed up on this with the retailer given the fact that LG UK's letter to for the retailer's attention stated LG UK authorise a replacement or refund. By all accounts I've paid £830 odd for a monitor I've not been able to own properly and my patience is really being tested now.

I'll give it another week before I decide if I want to contact my payment card issuer and get the money back and take my business elsewhere because ultimately I've paid for an item that I don't have and neither LG nor retailer can give me a satisfactory answer as to why and that's not on in my books given the history of my particular case.

I've also received a letter from LG today regarding that refund of shipping cost (£52) that they promised. It's been authorised and they wanted my bank details but the letter was worded in such a way that I'm now even more not very pleased with their TV/Monitors division. Can't really go into details but I certainly will not be buying an LG display ever again that's for certain.

Mrk, contact the ECC asap! They can take over a week to get back to you, so the quicker to contact them the better. They can really help if they're needed.

It's damn shame you're still dealing with this, especially since the monitor be becoming very prominent in online retailers. They should have just given you a refund or new monitor within the first week.

Unlucky mrk :(

Has def. put me of LG as well now and certainly won't be buying another one from them again either. Hopefully this one I have doesn't develop any problems...

Easiest way to get a message to them?

Wow. Has that still not been sorted for you? I saw the thread when you were first having problems which seems like years ago now. Sorry matey. Are there any alternatives available that you could get if you spoke to your card issuer?

Really wanting to purchase one of these but I keep telling myself I should wait for the Dell and the AOC version to see if there cheaper and less issues.
No details on when were going to see these yet I presume? I couldn't find anything apart from august and September estimates.

Since its using the same panel aswell I presume the only difference will be build quality and price?

No alternative really if I got a refund or claimed money back from my card issuer. Realistically all I want is a fault free 34UM95, ride out the warranty period (although now that I've seen how much "value" LG put into their warranty is it really worth it?!) and then move onto a model from a brand that puts loyal customers first.

I don't want a smaller screen as it feels weak now after the 2 weeks of 3440x1440 @ 34" ownership so I guess what I will do is get a sorted 34UM95 and then sell it on once Dell release their model or any other brand.
