LG to Introduce 34-inch IPS 21:9 UltraWide (Model UM95) monitor

Was all primed and now there's an actual order button I'm not clicking it for some reason

It's this LG 34, the ROG swift or the Benq BL3200PT for my next monitor purchase. All very different screens. Which would you go for?

Same problem here, had my heart set on buying it but after seeing the thread on gsync in the GPU section it's making me want to wait for the ROG.

Ah so there is! Never even seen that before.

Purely a TV for movies then and nothing else :p

I've now prepared my workstation ready for this thing. Cabling redone, amp moved, desk sorted... almost 2 hours of faff and wiiping away dust under there. Should be a straight swap on the Ergotron

So temped to buy this.

But i've never played on a monitor with more than 2ms,Will the jump from 2MS to 6MS be noticeable?

You'd have to look at the spread of response times and also how they are achieved. Aggressive pixel overdrive, the use of PWM to dim the backlight, some transitions being much slower than others and indeed the physical size of the screen can all affect things. User sensitivity to these issues is also important.

Many modern IPS monitors (for example some of the 29" 21:9 models) perform as well as can be expected from a 60Hz LCD. If this is like that then you won't notice a difference even if you're highly sensitive to trailing and the like. If there are niggling response times on the LG that go into double figures then you may notice a difference in some scenarios. You'll have to wait for Dell to release their version of this for any detailed analysis on that because unlike LG they actually care about UK reviewers. ;)

Tip, go into the OSD>Settings>DisplayPort 1.2>Enabled.

Mine was Disabled by default so even though the DisplayPort cable was working I wasn't getting 10bit colour 3440X1440 60Hz

I also disabled the energy saving feature.

Anyone played with the Response Time settings at all?

Read this so now we have 3 things everyone should know. Use DP and enable it in the options, And set response time to high?
