One user has put up a review on Amazon:

I got this monitor yesterday morning. Today I'm sending it back.

It's a lovely monitor for general use but it has what I can only assume are quite high levels of input lag. I was intending to replace 3 BenQ XL2720Z monitors with this but I've obviously been converted to the benefits of 144Hz gaming as this thing almost made me feel nauseous. Whilst trying to ascertain the reasons for the lag I did discover that in the monitor settings is the option to enable or disable displayport 2.1, by default it is disabled, as the monitor ships with a Displayport cable I assumed that 2.1 should be enabled, doing so however locked the refresh rate to 49Hz disabling it allowed the "full" 60hz.

Nice monitor if your not much of a gamer, if you are, or worse a FPS gamer you should steer well clear, at least until LG release some kind of firmware update as they did with their previous 29" display regarding input lag.

To me that reads more like a mix of user error and other factors (since he's a 144Hz(!) TN panel gamer.

The screen is 60Hz over IdsplayPort anyway is it not and he didn't change the response time settings.

Will find out soon I guess.

shame about the amazon review with input lag, that's all but sealed the deal for me waiting on the ROG now, I am very sensitive to input lag and going from a 144hz BenQ to a 60hz IPS I just know I'll experience the same.

Soon :p

I've not had a delivery yet... DHL need a kick up the backside!

I'm pretty interested once you've got this baby set up... the PPI is the same as our U2713HMs, right? I JUST got two of those set up finally, one in landscape and one in portrait, and NOW this. Bah I say!

I wonder if I could do that 21:9 in the middle and two portraits on the side though...

Yeah, first off you need to enable DP 1.2 to get 60Hz in 8+2bill colours. It could be that his GPU doesn't support it, so that's why he's not getting the full throughput. Secondly, anyone used to 144Hz is not going to enjoy 60Hz if they're using it for fast-paced gaming.

And I'd just like to point out that the main image for the screen on the OCUK page isn't entirely accurate... It doesn't show the screen's side bezels.

Thing is the other stock images everywhere else of the same picture show it with the screen off, which is fine as that's more of less accurate. The OcUK pics always have content photoshopped onto the screens and in this case whoever shopped Tomb Raider on to there didn't account for the internal bezel.
