Owners of this monitor can you comment on the anti glare coating, is it a light coating or is strong?
From Linus' review he did comment on it being quite strong

Linus' video mentioned it was stronger than he would have liked, but I don't know what he was comparing it to - it may be why I wait for a dell version with their near semi-glossy matte coating instead.

That's me out then, can't stand that grain, ruins the IQ for me.

Having looked at videos/images it appears to me that the haze value (and hopefully surface texture) is similar to the 2560 x 1080 models. They have a surprisingly smooth surface that appears similar in 'graininess' to Samsung's semi-glossy WQHD PLS panels. I honestly don't think you'll have a problem with this if that's the case, Raven. I am the same - very sensitive to matte 'grain'.
If you actually watch the review he says it's "perhaps a little bit more matte than I would normally prefer, but ended up being great for me since I sit next to a window at my desk."
Not exactly 'strong AG.'
Hmm... in my experience Dell is one of the worst offenders for using strong AG coating. All of their 30" models have this sparkle effect that is very noticeable on white backgrounds. Anyway, someone over at [H]ardForum said it almost looked glossy compared to his Dell U3011. If that's the case, I think I'll be happy with it.
Anyone used these? http://www.cyborggaming.com/prod/ambx.htm
Considering getting them for this screen for that extra immersion with the aspect ratio!
Thanks for your inquiry. Please accept our apologies for the late reply. An unusually high quantity of email inquiries has resulted in backlogs which we’re currently still doing our best to process as quickly as possible. Please bear with us.
The manufacturer LG offers at least 12 months of warranty on their products. Some products may have a longer warranty, for details please contact the manufacturer directly.

Yeah those are the ones but the Madcatz ones are £100+ which to me sounds rather excessive. I'm sure I've seen cheaper ones that do the same job before and didn't someone on these forums buy something similar that simply sticks to the back of the monitor? I have an LED white light strip currently but I want those reactive million colour jobbies that are the real deal!
I'll have to break out the search skills later
Edit*
Computeruniverse have said that manufacturer warranty is provided so that would be 2 years as we've seen from LG's site.
Edit 2*
Lightpack, that was it! Ordered

Comes to £70 inc shipping and looks way better than the Madcatz ones.
I tried the whole coloured backlight thing on my tv a few years ago now. It was OK but it spent most of the time switched off. The colours were just distracting although I did find white helped the most with apparent screen contrast
For £70 I'm happy to check it out and if it is too distracting can sell it on for minimal loss really.
I already have a white LED strip behind my current monitor which is nice but it's static white!
