LG to Introduce 34-inch IPS 21:9 UltraWide (Model UM95) monitor

Loving my monitor, 100% perfect so far. Really am looking forward to getting my new cpu before the end of the month so I can start my new rig. Two Titan Blacks will have no problem with this high res. Cant wait to see crisis 3 actually at playabale fps:p

Think I will pick up the LG 29EB93-P 29" to have a play with for a few days. If it's poo I'll return it and try something else. It's 21:9 so will be able to be used on the spare PC once my 34UM95 is returned if it turns out to be good

LG need to sort out those bezels because they are losing contrast with the bleed surely? Not to mention the DP 1.2 flicker did you mention that to them as well mrk?

LG should be doing a new revision soon i would hope with a new firmware for flicker and better seals on the panels. The question is what is the current revision of the panels?

Is anyone keeping track of the revisions?

I actually didn't mention the flicker, didn't even remember it and personally think it's flickering because it's not being fed a 10bit signal since only Quadro and FireGL cards support it. Everyone that has one currently that has seen flickers has a non OpenGL video card so it may not even be an issue hence in the first place.

whats annoying is i have to change the display port settings every time i boot from OSX to windows. Ok not a big task, but still... meh

Just use Thunderbolt? Surely that would help.

Also in what way do you have to change it? from 1.1 to 1.2?

That's something I can test out, given I have FirePros, although I would report flickers anyway.

wow, they not cheap are they!!!

Well 20Gb/s, and DP, mixed with PCIe and power makes it awfully good. Never mind daisy chaining various devices and displays. :)

I mention it because TB2 is 20Gb/s, and Displayport 1.2 is 17.28Gb/s. So it might be a reason people get flicker, and signal issues on these and 4K displays.

Also make sure you get the 2m cable if you buy one, it's only like £5 more than the useless 0.5m ones

Question:
Also has anyone plugged in a Wii U into the LG's HDMI to see how it looks and plays? Might be the first console I buy since the PS2.

it now says due on 26th june on website :(

Oh NO! It says 27/06/2014 for me on the site. Please tell me it's not so. :(

Ah right!

Hmm those stock dates are a way off. Guess my repair should be done before new stock arrives!*
