LG to Introduce 34-inch IPS 21:9 UltraWide (Model UM95) monitor

Yes IPS glow looks like a silvery/gold/orange ( depends who you ask ) sheen in the corners that moves/alters as you move your head. If you step back it will disappear.

Mine arrived, and I just set it up.
It's from the June batch, and no noticeable bleed or glow in the day so far. I shall report back tonight though.

HUGE is an understatement. It completely dwarfs my desk and old 23" IPS panel from AOC!

The colours out of the box are beautiful, although I did drop the brightness down from 70 to 30. It's running through a thunderbolt cable and simply amazing!

I can get a full 1080p video in FCPX and still have room to spare.

Here are some quick and rubbish iPhone 4 photos.

It's going to take some time to get use to it, and at the same time my copy Divinity Original Sin arrived, so installing that as well. :D

I noticed some lighting in the bottom left and right corners last night - but only in total darkness and with a black background on the screen. I'll tryt tonight to see if it comes/goes/moves-around when I move a bit. IIRC there was a slight yellow/orange tinge to them both.

I've never had any problems with light-bleed personally - some bleed is a fact of life with the technology - some displays are better than others as to the levels but all have some.

It will not be being returned - its an awesome screen and I've not even played with the setting yet, the colours are fine for me - better than my old 30" LG (hence picking a new LG) or 24" Samsung that I need to get rid of.

I just rendered and exported a 2D indie game at 3440x1440 60fps, and the RAW file was 120GB. Took an hour to export the thing, and I had to export as 'Mastering File: Audio & Video" h.264 in FCPX as a custom resolution.

Compressed down to 2.7GB without loss of quality, although youtube will probably butcher the IQ as it always does. :(

Right then, here's 32UM95 labelled June and I think you might agree there might be a little bit of back light bleed :(:(
Doesn't matter what setting I have, brightness is reduced to 30, everything is set to default.
Makes no difference what angle I view the image from, the picture was taken from about six feet away.

Sorry for the poor picture but I only have a cheap Samsung point and shoot

Here's mine at 30 brightness as well. It's mostly glow as it moves as I move my head.

Although there's the tiniest bit of glow in each corner. Not noticeable much when there's something on the screen or playing a movie.
