LG to Introduce 34-inch IPS 21:9 UltraWide (Model UM95) monitor

N19h7m4r3, did you install any drivers to get the USB ports working? Mine dont seem to detect any devices

Oh, my model is APRIL 2014, still no issue with bleed...

Actually thats a good point - neither are mine. Anyone got their USB ports working (I am connected to a Mac Pro). I know you have to install drivers for the thunderbolt ports to work.

Do you have the USB upstream cable connected?

My USB's port work 100% fine, although I've my monitor connected via Thunderbolt. Just plugged in my temperamental wired 360 controller and it's 100% a-okay. Even has rumble enabled that doesn't work on all ports sometimes.

my model is april and cant see any bleed here. looks like this is a keeper.
got form overclockers.co.uk today and price has gone down £21.00 that's a bummer:(

Anyone else had issues with DP 1.2 and occasional popping and screen powering off and on again?

It doesn't happen very often, but is strange and vaguely annoying.

Yes same happens to me and mrk, because our graphics cards don't support 10bit colour so disabled 1.2 and it works fine.

Although I think mrk may have enabled it again before he sent it back for bleed?

Imagine if it was switching back to DP 1.2 that started the bleed?!

"Puts on tinfoil hat"

With DP 1.2 enabled after driver updates from nVidia I saw little to no more flickering. Maybe 1 every couple of days? No visual difference though so I just left it off thereafter :p

I'm wondering if we'll see anything from DELL come around September time, since they have to wait for LG to fix their production supply issues. Maybe they're sitting on their asses with the chassis all done but no panels to put in it. :p

Well have spent my first full day working with the monitor and it's a definite keeper. I have had no issues with it at all, and I have no backlight bleed as far as I can tell so for me the monitor is excellent.

Having been messing around with 2 monitors side by side for gaming the last few days I love how much more immersive it is having such a wide field of view especially for racing games but because of the bezel in the middle 2 monitors side by side is pretty much a no go.
I cant decide between going for a 3 monitor setup or one of these ultra wide monitors.

My desk will struggle with 3 monitors and id have to get one of the bracket things to hold all three up and the third one will still hang off the side of the desk.

For you guys who already own one of these what do you think of them for racing games?

Obviously with 3 monitors your going to get a wider view which is great but you still have the bezels so im just wondering is this monitor would be a good compromise for that.

I've been holding off playing Grid Autosport for the 34" to come back as it's nice on the 29" but not the same :(

I had a look at a 34" finally yesterday, OMG, WOW, OMG, WOW I can see what the fuss is about now they are so spot on literally for everything, so much desktop real estate, driving and flight sim games look unreal and movies, wow.

Great screens from LG, the one I played on had being returned for excessive backlight bleed but in a lit office it seemed absolutely fine. :)

I have been saying this since day 1 :p

Edit*

Looks like my 34UM95 has now gone to LG in Germany:
