Lga 1700 coolers

Disregard my previous thought regarding extra washers on top of standoffs, just realised that washers would make the gap even bigger, silly sausage. I'm just getting to excited and thinking of easiest way to get things done.

I have the H115i RGB Platinum cooler and have been waiting since the 3rd November for the 1700 stand offs.
As of Monday, when my order status is still pending, I decided to use the LGA1200 standoffs on the ASUS Z690-A Gaming D4.

Processor even when gaming has never gone beyond 53c - That is the highest my CPU has ever gone.
I will replace the screws when they finally arrive from Corsair, but it seems incredibly unlikely these are going to arrive anytime soon.

Sounds good mate, mate CPU?
Does lga 1200 have the same stack height as lga 1150 [8700k] weekend tomorrow I might try to use my h115i anyways, I'm too tired waiting now.

I got bored of waiting for the screws, sitting there with the board and a 12900K and just waiting for some £2.99 screws.
So after reading some reports on Reddit and the Corsair forums, I decided to just go for it - It is only a 0.08mm difference between the two and mine screwed on well.

The temps, I got were pretty low and cooler than my 9900K - I am just not going to overclock without the proper screws.
But for getting it up and running and not sitting on £900 worth of tech, I would recommend trying it - Run RealTemp for a couple of hours and see what the maximum temp you get.

Sounds good pal.
I've got 12700k and I'll give it a try tomorrow, however stack height differences according to igors lab are more than that you have posted.

Very well.

I decided to buy
mail

MSI MAG CORELIQUID C240 AIO 240mm Liquid CPU Cooler as it's compatible out the box with 1700.
Hopefully that will be enough for 12700k

I am waiting for the the Retention bracket but I can;t see it coming anytime soon. I have a H150i elite cappelix and I don't think it it supports L1200 out of the box let alone L1700 and it would be a terrible waste as I only bought it like 3 months ago. SO waht can I do? Is the skt 1151 similar to the L1200?

Cooler spacing @20.08 and mentions corsair messed up the adapter sizes for Alder lake too that they got. Maybe explains why people are still waiting for corsair adaptor kits for their coolers.

Oooooooffffff not good! Hoping to get my Freezer 2 one in a few days, but can't complain too much as it's free.

Got the Be quiet 1700 bracket waiting for me at the post office and the Freezer II bracket on the way also.

Not upgrading just yet as i am waiting it out a little because of DDR 5 availability being poor.

I posted some pictures on Saturday on the Corsair forums after fitting with Socket 1200 back plate and standoff's, the gap in the center of the CPU was considerable with no contact. I've decided to wait.
