LiE's Diet and Training Thread

It's different for different people. Lockout tends to be easier for people who keep their back straight.

edit: yeah I'd say you have more in the tank

Thanks mate :) not sure when I'll be testing my maxes again but won't be for a while..240 would be awesome though!

LiE, I can't remember what you have planned in the way of competitions but just in case you are interested I got this email today:

Was having a look on the BDFPA website earlier and saw this. I think I've missed all the qualifying stages for championships this year... I need to be a member for 3 months too. Will see what they say in response to my email.

Those Deadlifts in the video dont seem to do ANYTHING for you, your just lifting it up for about 1 second then dropping it? This doesnt seem to be doing anything for you apart from lifting.

You should be using a lot lower weights and then just doing more reps as that will have a bigger impact on you than just lifting it up an inch then dropping it.............

+1 he should be doing more like 60-70kg for 25-30 reps

So just lighting 1 really heavy weight for just 1 second is going to get me in to a better shape?

I can understand people doing it for competitions but it cant do anything for getting bigger muscles?

I would cut that 200+ weight in half and do 3 sets of 15. Even I know thats better at building muscle.....

That's awesome, you seem to be facing a completely different way!

:p yea one of the pointers I got was to not look in the mirror.

I'm not trying to build muscle, my entire program is focused on strength. There are many reasons to test a 1 rep max. You should read a bit more of my thread to get an idea of what is going on.

15 reps on deadlift is not a good suggestion.

What about your chicken, I noticed in the 1st page that you cook loads of it on the Sunday to last you all week for lunch?

I cook 5 days worth. At the weekend I just relax and try to eat 'enough'. This won't work for everyone.

We have a farm next door to where I live which has chickens, if I take one will that last all week? I guess it will be a full chicken size
