LiE's Diet and Training Thread

Get on it sigma! Nothing quite like the feeling of just completing a beastily workout and crawling out of the gym.

Looking monstrous LiE!

I'm very jealous, I can't wait till I hit 200 :(.

Have you tried using the lower setting on the rack, might be easier to do a step each side walk out if you start out lower . Impressive difference as well, you must be feeling good right now :).

Oh my god, I respect that man even less now . . .

LOL no chance I'm shaving my chest. I got it waxed a few times for my honeymoon but didn't get on with it.

Upgraded my gym footwear today :D

Retiring the trusty plimsolls on the left for the better converse.

Use the rack I use it's just slightly lower rather then a whole notch lower

Don't like that rack because the notches are vertical instead of angled away from you.

I thought plimsolls were for children at primary school. Just wear socks/bare feet in the gym if it's heavy lifting :)

Plimsolls have served me fine, but my current ones are very worn after several years.

I normally lift in my socks and did my big lifts this week that way, but for a change I'm going to try some converse. They are highly recommended by powerlifters.

Not much to discuss, I just prefer training in socks if it's heavy weights. All other times I will just wear random trainers. I wouldn't buy shoes just for the gym. Unless wearing converse or plimsolls has some kind of benefit?

I can't train bare foot, best I can do is socks and they aren't the most stable of materials if you are squatting. Converse provide a solid base and have very strong support for pushing your feet out during squat.

End of the day I needed a replacement and converse come highly recommended. Worst case I continue to squat/deadlift in my stocks and wear the new converse for the rest of my training.

Did you buy them instore or online? My shoe sizes seem to vary dramatically (srs I have sizes 8-11 :|) so I'm hesitant to order online.

Lucky you can shift some weight LiE.........with shoes like that I'd brand you like every other curl boy punk in DW :p

Ha Paz, gotta look good when lifting ;)

I actually really like the shoes so I may not use them now for the gym and just stick with my plimsolls :p

Cycle 2 Deload
Small tweak to the exercise list this week.

Monday - Military Press (5/3/1), Shoulder Press Plate Machine, Facepulls superset with cable rear delt flyes
Tuesday - Deadlift (5/3/1), Seated Rows, Dragon Flags
Thursday - Bench Press (5/3/1), Dips, CGBP
Friday - Squat (5/3/1), Goblet Squats, SLDL, Hanging Leg Raises

Focus for this week will be nailing my head position on Deadlift and stretching. I've added in 2 core exercises to help keep it in good shape.

Main areas that I need to stretch are shoulder/pec and hamstrings. I'll continue to stretch the rest of my legs though.

Reggae Reggae chicken all cooked up for next week. appox 250-280g of chicken in each tub.

Do you happen to have those spreadsheets around, I can not find them anywhere :( I saw them posted in this very thread but I can not find them and they were excellent for working out the prescribed set/reps in KG :D

Silly pounds just don't work with my brain :P
