LiE's Diet and Training Thread

Be happy to look mate :)

Drop that protein by 20 and up the carbs by 20 (both 4 calories per 1g so calories potentially would be the same) and that's a good diet ;)

Does it matter where in the day I add the carbs? I could add some carbs to my PWO shake.

I'd add them to your morning meal, my breakfast is my heaviest carbs meal, or if not, post workout is the other good option

Updated the diet steedie, can't think how to drop the cals though they are a little high currently for maintaining my weight/dropping a tiny amount of fat.

LiE that spreadsheet, does it contain your latest diet? As it looks like you've not lowered the protein yet, that would get you some calories back. Carbs and fat now good

I'm in 2 minds about the diet tbh. I think I'll up the carbs and drop the fats but I'd like to keep the calories down so I can slowly drop some fat. I've uploaded what I've decided to go with.

Nothing as he's only eating it once a day, but as a serving more than once a day it's just crazy

250g of chicken covers over 2 meals for me :)

500g of meat is ok a day surely? I know you're a competing bodybuilder so it's different for you, but for LiE it'd be fine..

It's just far too much protein. Unless you're only source of protein is that 500g, which I highly doubt, you're taking up 160g of protein on that 500g alone

250g of meat wouldn't fill me up though.

I mean I can make a chilli with 500g of mince and eat the lot in one go (especially after a workout). And I know oddjob could eat more than me as well :D

What are the disadvantages of too much protein? Other than wastage.

Too much protein makes you look softer, which is obviously isn't a problem for most

But for the average person it's just wasted calories. Id rather have 180-220g depending on weight, of protein and use the rest for carbs and fat

Had a quick deload session tonight, really focused on stretching and mobilizing the shoulders. Military press was looking much better.

For some reason I was missing bodybuilding training today. I do enjoy a good 4 day split and hitting all the corners. Strength training isn't quite the same.

Seriously considering doing a couple months of bodybuilding. Really miss it for some reason. Will let you know.
